They'll most likely remix the classic Clash on the Big Bridge theme I'm sure, but stop trying to kid yourselves folks. We all know the Gilgamesh battle is going to be a FATE event.

Before thay make a really cool gilgamesh fight they need to add depth to the combat. Mainly HORIZONTAL PROGRESSION GEAR.
Is he holding Ragnarok in that picture?

Gilgamesh has wielded many different weapons in every game he's ever been in. Among these include:
-Naginata (Spear, Default Weapon) (FFI, FFIV: TAS, FFV, FFVI, Dissidia 012)
-Masamune (Katana, Found in Doma's Poisoned River in FFVI) (All Appearances)
-Excalibur (Sword, Found in Alexandria Castle in FFIX) (All Appearances)
-Excalipoor (Sword, Found in Exdeath's Castle in FFV) (All Appearances)
-Zantesuken (Sword, Takes this sword from a dead Odin in FFVIII / Forged from a nail shed from Chaos in Dissidia) (FFVI, FFVIII, FFXII, FFXIII-2, Dissidia 012)
-Buster Sword (Sword, A replica of Cloud's Buster Sword used in FFVII) (FFXII)
-Revolver (Gunblade, A replica of Squall's Revolver Gunblade used in FFVIII) (FFXII)
-Orichalcon (Dagger, A replica of Zidane's Orichalcon dagger used in FFIX) (FFXII)
-Brotherhood (Sword, A replica of Tidus's Brotherhood sword used in FFX) (FFXII)
-Tournesol (Sword, Found in FFXII) (FFXII)
-Wyrmhero Blade (Sword, Found in the Dragon Quest universe) (FFXII)
-Matamune (Fishing Rod, found in FFXII) (FFVI Assumed, FFXII)
-Muramasa (Sword, found in ruins of Zanarkand in FFX) (FFXIII-2)
-Bashosen (Fan, Found in Cocoon in the FFXIII universe) (FFXIII-2)
-Bradamante (Gunhalberd, Found in FFXIV) (FFXIV)

I actually want to see Gilgamesh in a FATE. Not exclusively for a quest, mind you, but as an actual FATE like Odin or Behemoth, where Gilgamesh appears on the Big Bridge and everyone rushes to the Big Bridge to take out Gilgamesh. He'd eventually fall, then he'd drop "Genji Cloth" which could be turned into the vendor in Revenant's Toll for Genji Equipment. Stuff like a Gilgamesh minion and maybe Enkidu-inspired Barding would be pretty awesome, in my opinion.

Actually YoshiP did say there was going to be a new HNM fate akin to Behemoth/Odin in 2.2 so I wouldn't be surprised... He has so much potential for some really creative mechanics though and we'll never see that in a fate.I actually want to see Gilgamesh in a FATE. The oriental mix is my favorite COTBB theme.
Rather than just rip the old school version, I hope Soken comes up with his own version, or a collab with Uematsu.
It would actually be interesting to have 3 versions of Clash On The Big Bridge play with each version playing per round.
They can set it up to
Round 1 = Original Clash On The Big Bridge
Round 2 = Oriental mix Clash On The Big Bridge
Round 3 = New FF14 Version of Clash on The Big Bridge
setting this way can help show how intense the fight becomes per round if they perform the fight setting and FF14 version of the theme correctly. After all we are going to Clash with Gilgamesh On The Big Bridge.
Location is already hinted in FF14ARR from a certain quest released in 2.1.
