Titan Extreme is NOT Fun

Really getting depressed over this fight. I've been on him for over 2 weeks now and I've been to the final phase and even past superbombs over a dozen times. There's always someone that dies. Always. First time I've considered quitting the game since 1.0. It was a fun fight for the first few times I tried it, but not being able to find 7 other people that can pull it off is causing me severe anxiety.

The fight either wasn't given enough test time or they designed it with the intent that only a very small number of people are going to get past it. Either way I've watched my friend attempt this fight for multiple hours and have decided to avoid it like the plague. Garuda Extreme is Doable and so is Ifrit, but Titan is overtuned hardcore.

I helped a bunch of parties over the weekend to help clear this fight. It really is pretty straight forward and easy so long as everyone is pretty familiar and willing to learn fast from mistakes. And no, you do not need Mumble, Skype, TS, Ventrilo, etc. to beat this instance.

You really need good DPS for this fight - particularly for the final phase with the adds. The adds need to die not long after the MT gets the 2nd MB stack. Otherwise, it'll get very hectic and troublesome for both your tanks, which can most likely result in a wipe.

It's actually easy, the only hard part is the egis + bombs for the tanks, other than that no more difficult than hardmode. Stay focused is the key

For me, they really need to tune down the damage from Titan Smash and overall in the fight. No matter what I do, if dps screws up and they always do. I am unable to heal the tank and them, at last phrase. If healer pioritise the tank, we have not enough dps. If we try to heal the dps, tank dies in seconds from full health.

Added to the need to keep on the move, makes healing extremely hard. I am a middle age man at 35, I no longer have the power to concentrate of so many crazy stuff at once, pioritise and make quick second decisions and constantly look at chaotic ever changing situations for 15 minutes straight on full blown concentration. Especially after hours of draining work and after doing it for hours and especially needing to factor in lag.

So while Titan X might be a great fight for some, it is a horrorfest for me.

Also FYI, for the love of ... why do majority of tank have no idea of this SUPER GREAT skill called stone skin that helps healers OMG tons. It saves lives, basically yours ones.

Well said. Yoshida-san and his team seem to have completely forgotten that among their players there are people of your and even MY age. But, as I already said, the game's visuals and much of its music are so gorgeous that I'll try to keep playing the game ignoring primals and all that bull***. I won't get my superwonderweapon? Don't care. :P

Since the patch on christmas eve, I have been getting 3~5s freeze spikes in game in the duty servers. I have no problems/lag/freezes in other games and my ping is consistent around 70. Whatever the issue is, hope it's fixed fast.
However, I find that if I stand one plume-width behind the stacked group, I have an easier time preemptively dodging them. Even if a freeze comes at a less than ideal time, when everything comes back to me in fast-forward motion I'll only have been hit with one plume. Being stacked with the group is just a death sentence in my case. To those of you who have a similar problem to mine, or latency problems in general, I would suggest trying this.
Most people dodge to the left or right, but just in case remind your party to not dodge south so they don't get hit by your plume.

Your pre-emptive dodge is my death Titan has little room for errors, be in human or any other errors.

This is what you get when you fine tune a battle so tightly on reflect action game play.

Also basing weigh of land on where people stand, especially since the timing is so darn tight, is a sure way to compound the problems 100x fold.

In the end, it is actually just bad game design. Titan is just 1 big troll.
