Titan Extreme is NOT Fun

I usually run this with my FC, but I was bored yesterday so I joined a party finder instead, seems experience people since it said "clear or not doesn't matter as long as seen the final few phases". Well first few tries we had healer, caster dying or flying off never even seeing heart phase, I can see the dps on jail is slightly slow as well. Nevermind, try again and on the time we finally manage to pass heart and reach egis, everyone just decided not to stack up for the plumes during that part, so we had plumes on more than half the platform, I was literary trap in the middle of 4 plumes. Tried to give them some advice but they said they done it before, so ok and they are using caster lb for egis, that's fine too except the caster they had was kinda dying quite a bit. From what I can see if they had stack instead of spread out everywhere, we would have pass the egis phase, the plumes literary kill a few people since there is very little space for us to run to.

So yeah gonna stick to my FC group and teach others in my FC to do it instead

This. This is why I not happy with Titan. And unlike Valho, I do not have a pro FC to do it with. I also hate Dance Dance Revolution. And I definitely do not like it in my RPGs. Especially MMO RPGs. If I want to play a MMO ARPG, would have gone to Tera, or DDR Online.

So to the people that keep on saying get 7 other great perfect people. All I can say, is great for you. But I do not have that luxury.

So I have to suck it up and am not happy and thus am playing forum forum revolution to try to push my point across to the developers.

So... who want to play with me for my ultimate goal for 100 pages of QQing.

just a tip. copy paste hello in japanese when joining jp only parties. thats all u need lol. they basically just want u to understand what they say. so google translate and respond with a simple yes no

Right ... I do not have the same experience. I even politely ask them if I could join. State that I am experience but have not cleared. Willing to listen via google translate to all they say.

Only so far one JP group allowed me to join. Many ignore me and tons more will say sorry ..... only JP.

I am sure more people have experience like me, from the amount of QQing thread about JP only parties.

I think lots of people are overstating how perfect you need to be to down this, there are mistakes you are and aren't allowed to make and tbh all of my recent clears have finished with multiple people dead at the end.

Don't make mistakes before the last phase and you have a decent margin of error, which are easy as heck phases and mistakes then should be punished. Plumes one shotting people is 100% a fault of the strategies chosen because you all insist on stacking on a dot behind Titan with inconsistent players like total lemmings. Don't do something because someone on YouTube does it well.

No I don't have a pro FC, but I do have members that are willing to learn and wipe to clear the content, this is what is lacking in most DF/PF party. I didn't mention in my previous post, once we wipe at egis phase someone left and the group disband. After all those tries and the time we get progress, they give up. A bit of discussion and reworked the strategy maybe we would have gotten further. Whatever others do in youtube is a guide, and should be reworked to suit your team.

I am curious, with 5 plumes and a smaller platform area after heart phase, how do you everyone place themselves without stacking to avoid spreading the plumes everywhere and essentially leaving only small gaps for you to dodge to or even trapping someone between multiple plumes. Only way I see this can be done is a straight line instead, though after egis phase that would leave only 1 side that is safe to dodge for plumes.

Since I stopped trying to beat the x modes I am enjoying the game so much more now, And enjoying not having to wipe 100+ times per group per x mode.
Ahhhh nice breath of fresh air, My game time is limited and thank god I got out of trying for these.

Just because someone throws a bad onion in the room doesn't mean everyone has to smell it. Play what you like is my thoughts on the x modes, If you cant stand them don't do them its not worth the blood pressure rise or the 10 hour per 2 day headache.
Most games have tons of content to keep people busy enough and not everyone has to enjoy all the content of a game but if you still enjoy the game then its worth playing.

I love saints row 4 ok, But I didn't like the ending and last battle it was awefull (no spoilers) don't worry. But over all the game rocks, Like this game rocks!

When I 1st played this game I was in heaven still am and x modes were not even around, So I treat it as if they don't exist and bam its cool again.

That's exactly how you do it, and adds should be down before plumes. Even if someone can't escape they will take one plume, it's not the end of the world they won't die. Obviously you still need to stack behind for jails but just stack for that, think about what you're actually doing and why. If you know the fight then you know you don't have to be stacked 24/7.

Oh I should add, stacking on a point for plumes during super bombs is probably still better. Most fights only see this once so that's only one time where you can't afford to hit a plume vs every time.

I will leave it at this. I've experienced everything in game thus far and the only difficult thing in this game is playing on PS3 (not controller issue) on fights like Ultima Hard mode but only during the laser phase. PS3 has an extremely slow response times on player input lag. I don't want to sound like an ass or an elitist but this game needs encounters that separate great players from just mediocre ones, I'm sorry. Remember, the Extremes are an option! No one is making you do them. I've done them with my FC, which is extremely smooth versus a party finder group but I've had good party finder groups that were capable of doing it just fine. It's really just about practice, remembering the bosses rotations and carrying your weight.

Lag can have an impact on your performance but complaining about your personal lag is not going to fix the issue. There are many ways to get rid of lag that I will not mention. Do your research if you don't want to have any at all. Secondly, we need these types of encounters because it makes us better players. It's tense, exciting, and you get a sense of accomplishment when you dodge everything. Well, I guess I can't really speak for everyone but that's just my opinion on the matter. You just shouldn't let an encounter discourage you. Practice, practice, practice!

People usually have to stack but it doesn't really matter if there are 1 or 2 people not following that if the rest isn't spread out you have enough time to escape in any direction (minius where the add sludge is on the ground). It's usually the healer who don't stack directly after the adds(myself included, I usually stand back at the south edge) but that depends on the dmg the mt took and if I have to get the heal through and don't have the time run->heal. But it really depends from group to group.
But in general you are spot on after the adds people usually only dodge in one direction (especially for the double plume following afterwards).
