There is 0 reason in this game to be an elitist. Elitist Jerks in this game make me giggle, because it's so incredibly dumb.

I agree that maybe it is a ploy to get all rich people in the game to let go of their money. It would help revive the market boards.

No, seriously - how?

How will this revive Marketboards when the bulk of the gil is being taken out of the economy? Who the ever-loving hell is going to buy the items on the Marketboards when no one has any gil?! And those that do have gil, that can buy houses, they comprise a tiny percentage of the overall server population. So if 1-5% of the server are the only ones needing furniture, who the hell is going to be buying anything? Those that have the gil already have the trades in-house to make it themselves. I mean, seriously...

That's expecting to get it easily.

It's a feature. It should be gotten relatively easily. But...even then, how is any of this easy? I don't know how the economy is on your server, but while Balmung's is one of the stronger ones (from speaking to my friends on other servers, anyway), our economy is in no way healthy. Bots have all but destroyed most of the materials markets, and with everyone finishing gearing their alts out, the market is flooded with tomestone items. It's been a real struggle to make anything at all in the last month or so. And after this announcement, the markets have seriously gone into a free fall.
