Well, no. You're still missing my issue with it.

The issue I have is that the development team has put a lot of time and effort into a raid that will be largely either ignored or made trivial by people who are running it already outgearing it alongside people who DON'T outgear it. It's irrelevant content. It's content that isn't challenging for people unless you're in my shoes - just hit 50, haven't run a lot of WP/AKs for tomes - and even then, it'll be trivialized through the use of Duty Finder matching 8 people with 16 strangers, several of whom most likely already outgear it. Or for people that are leveling alternate classes of course (the key comment on loving my SMN placing emphasis on those classes being alternate, by the way).

My issue is all of this, and the development team hasn't realized their colossal mistake.

That combined with the length of time it took to actually get a response on the netcode issue gives me pretty heavy doubts about SE's ability to keep this game competitive. If the game doesn't stay that way, the playerbase will dwindle. If the playerbase dwindles, the game will die. If not die completely, it'll go F2P, no matter how much SE says they won't. They'll try to squeeze every penny they can out of it. Of course they will. That's business. You can't fault them for that, they're here to make a profit and their livelihood, just like anyone else is at their job.

I'm disappointed with the structure, not necessarily the releases. Will it change? Only time will tell I suppose, but I've seen too many MMOs implode as a result of decisions like this to be optimistic.
