War taking more damage is a given, but they need more healing to make up for it, which is the problem. Even at 20% more healing, in that example, we'd still need to be healed for 3000 to make up the health lost.
Obviously i was talking about the +20% of the new defiance.
However Defiance gives +25%, so it would be:

PLD -> 6000hp, loses 2880, only needs 2880 to be healed.
WAR -> 7500hp, loses 3600, needs to be healed for 3000 to get the 3600hp back (20% more healing).

case 2:
PLD -> 6000hp, loses 2880, only needs 2880 to be healed.
WAR -> 7500hp, loses 3600, if healed of 2880 + 20% = 3465, it still has 7635 hp, so 22,7% more then a pld

However in your case you are not considering overhealed HP. that is an advantage for war.

Also stoneskin is 5% more effective on war
Lustrate (almost useless on a pld compared to a normal heal from a relic healer) works pretty well on war

not going into damage mitigation however.
still need the numbers for that and i believe pld will still be better. also holmgang is nowhere close to hallowed ground
