That's because there are now forums, and social media and this crazy epidemic where if enough people bitch, game development will ultimately change. "Feedback" actually ruined games.I completely agree; however, this doesn't simply apply to MMOs. In looking at the industry as a whole, think of the changes that have taken place in gaming over the past 13 years.
If anything, I would say gaming as a whole has lost its magic. Though that could just be the 'old man' in me talking. I can say this much though, nowadays I don't really branch out so much in gaming as I did in the past. I stick to very specific things now, and I do that for a reason.
Yeah, pretty much, I seriously wish more than just a few of these artists would just stick to THEIR vision; and ignore the internet hate machine.
