Bard Nerfs Offically Confirmed

I am honestly curious to hear the strat a monk uses to silence. I don't play MNK so not sure how thier silence works with stances and so on but t would actually be helpful to our grp.

Anyone using monk so silence is being rather dumb. It is near impossible to silence as a monk without nerfing the bejesus out of their DPS. ADS on turn one is the only place I have seen where silence as a monk is not an issue but that is because ADS has such a nice ability rotation.

Pld and Brd are both better choices for silence.

That's what I've always thought and heard from others, but I've no experience with a MNK was hoping he could enlighten me but seems he disappeared......

Someone better versed on MNK rotations could explain how they do it. I was just using it as en example to show that BRDs are not "required" to silence high voltage or complete the content.

The job certainly has strengths and good utility. But to make such a bold statement that BRD is "required" to complete BC content is an inaccurate overstatement of its utility relative to other jobs. It is perfectly possible to complete BC content with zero BRDs in your group.

The question of "well it would be easier if this...and leave less room for error if that" is another discussion. But on the issue of requirement? No. BRDs are not required. Players formulate winning strategies. Other players copy those strategies which leads to..."this strategy is required to win."

One monk can silence everything and while doing so can put in 1-3 rotations with a downtime of 10 seconds.

I'd say that is more DPS than a Bard.
