Bard Nerfs Offically Confirmed

Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX just confirmed they intend to nerf BRD damage along side the Warrior buffs in 2.1

So to put it simple congratulations, the endless tears of players that can't clear Titan have swayed the Devs into nerfing a class that consistently pulls 2nd to bottom DPS on high level coil parses with competent players. You may have perhaps caused a massive unneeded damage nerf to a useful role in raids.

Discuss why people don't know what they are talking about and why I'm wrong.

I'm just happy for the warrior buffs.

I've occasionally browsed the tanking forum and most of them have been very respectful and constructive in their reasoning for why warriors are not quite up to par.

Hopefully I can finish my sim with damage numbers shortly and we can put this discussion to rest lol.

However, I got a bit dirtier version while watching Twitch user Reinheartv translate the stream live, if you're interested in live updates from the rest you can watch both at the same time for visual and translation at this MultiTwitch.

Basically they mentioned that they feel Bards are doing more damage than other classes while not having to worry about mechanics and can expect changes alongside Warriors and Dragoons.

Knee jerk reaction based on low skill misinformed players, not the biggest deal in the world and luckily I have been working on Monk for the single reason that I knew something like this would happen

I didn't pick the class to be peoples' pocket silence which is apparently what people wanted and is now going to happen.

Uh, bards are also the only dps class that I've seen groups refuse to do a run without. They're support-dps, and their buffs are that important, losing dps won't throw you to the bottom of the rung.

Also REinhardt's translations are awesome, but he's translating, transcribing, and rewording at live pace. It's rough work, i've done it, and naturally he loses nuance in the process. Yoshi P was put serious emphasis on "Just a -little- too strong", like, he used three different words to a little in that sentence. So the nerf will probably be light.

So yea, you'll lose dps, but.. your utility still say you'll be taken anyhow.

That made me laugh, "So, we said warriors are fine, and.. they are! but.. paladins are a bit too strong, like, they're completing content we didn't intend for them to be able to, in ways they're not supposed to... but instead of making the game hard by bringing them tow arrior level, we'll just adjust them a little and bring warriors up to par!"

Please call for a healer nerf next because they heal to well and in needs to be balanced... why in the world would you cry out for a team member to do LESS damage??

I really can't say it any better than that. I knew it would happen eventually. My only hope is that it's a very minor change.
