Bard Nerfs Offically Confirmed

They're putting in PvP.
Anyone who plays Bard knows they have to do SOMETHING before PvP comes out or every team will be nothing but Bards.
They'll probably just add a cast time to Straight Shot/Heavy shot and be done with it.

Hopefully at the same time they look at Bard scaling at endgame.

Most likely it will be scholar heavy teams, not that bards won't be good, just not as good as scholars.

Arean type pvp always req class check. You can not get 6 healers in as a team. The issue is we will see all DPS are bard.

For most of this people endgame means wiping at titan. They see BRDs keeping the dps up while evading and they decide to call OP a class which is not. Thats 100% what happened.
Now the devs are simply keeping the "lets clone the most succesfull mmo way/strategy 100%" and decided to nerf based on the whines.

More than likely you'll see a ton of BLM as dps with aoe sleep/slow/bind and summoner with ranged aoe mortal strike/40% movement slow.

I think they are watching bard damage when they never have to play songs. If a bard never plays a damage nerf song their damage can be pretty insane. But they need that insane damage to make up the 20% loss of damage that is up for almost 80% of all fights.

People who are complaining about how BRDs do in battle are insecure about their own class. We have our issues like everyone else, like not being able to move when casting songs that -HELP PARTY MEMBERS-. We can't move while casting Ballad for your WHM MP, we can't move for any other songs for TP or elemental resistance either.
WE ARE MEANT TO BE A RANGED CLASS. Just like BLM! MNK is obviously impossible to be Ranged, and so is Dragoon! It's like asking WAR to heal a dungeon! We all have our jobs to do, BRDs just do it differently!
The 20% argument is also stupid! Our cool downs last a while too, we run out of TP fast, and every time we have to pop a song, we lose a lot of damage that can be done. This nerf makes me not want to play the class I started as. I chose this class for the freedom it gives you as a DD, and now all that is going to be taken away? We have bad HP, our attacks get weaker through fights, and now you're going to make us do LESS because some people cry about it?

BLM will be OP miles ahead of bard in PvP.

Bards are the Hunter class of FFXIV. You're going to get nerfed, buffed again to be OP for like 6 days till they nerf the hell out of you again. Rinse and repeat for the next 5 or so years.
