I feel for you, but at the sametime, I can't help it but thinking like this -- You bring a squirt gun into a paintball game, ill-equipped because of your financial problem, you are teaching others how to dodge paintballs while pelting people to death with that squirt gun... it takes real skill, props to you.

Thanks and trust me I want a beast of a PC! I really do... but the wife needs a new purse, my children like to eat... Everything works better with the electric bill paid. As soon as I'm satisfied that my family is taken care of... maybe Daddy will get an upgrade.

FF is certainly my favorite past time... But it is a past time and has to fall in line when it comes to real priorities.

My hopes for this video was to help people in my situation keep their heads up... progression can be done, and also to help the community understand that the guy who just got hit by landslide is most likely not retarded.

GOod point on the toxic player comment, but....

I think someone joining a group with a PC like yours is far more toxic to the community. Making other people pick up the slack because of your inability to avoid damage in a group setting is unfair to the people that get stuck with you in DF or shouts.

Has a valid point as well, if you are hindering other players, maybe you shouldnt pug stuff and ruin other players gameplay, you should prolly do Duty Finder stuff with your friends or FC members that are willing to deal with your lag issues ?

Except his post was more of a PSA. He stated numerous times he doesn't have issues. He was merely showing what he sees. He's memorized titan's rotations so he succeeds by pre-moving. He knows when Weight of the sand drops for instance. He also moves when he see's titan turning.

Watching the video or reading through the topic would have shown that in no way was any players game ruined or hindered. I simply displayed lag and how to deal with it.

I'm here to say: "PC performance can cause lag issues. Here's a video with some examples and here's some things you can do to overcome."

The one mechanic I was hit by was on purpose to display what happens if I don't react pre-emptively. It was a display not a derp, and none of this is an excuse. I'm not looking for sympathy... hell I'm not even looking for respect.

What I would like to see however is a general absence of disrespect and verbal abuse that has become all too common.

I wanna make myself clear and say that I'm not directly stating that you yourself hinder your group. But I have seen/played with people using poor machines and not as much skill and it's not fun at all.

I believe you said you try to keep to your FC/LS which is great. Social/Casual players or players with disadvantages don't want to play with you any more than you want to play with them.

It seems like you have resolved your own problem and removed yourself from being a problem based on your exclusive social groups... There is nothing wrong with this. It just seems many of us disagree with your opinion on who should and shouldn't play. IMO everyone deserves to play.

If I have to DF for something it's usually only 1 or 2 people. The few times I have had a bad experience I just leave (great thing about being a tank) and queue back up again.

Everyone may deserve to play but that does not make it my responsibility to play with them. I think that the person with the crappy PC should bear some responsibility and not just get a pass "just because". It may not be a popular opinion but I am OK owning what I say.
