The problem with your argument is that you're not accounting for the increased influx in miners/botanists due to the newer ease of leveling.As a certifiable financial genius, possibly, I predict that the prices of items will rise with this change.
Currently you need to mine up (if you don't burn leves) around 4,981.092:172'1000"761 ores to get 0.0000001% XP per level (note, figures may not be accurate), if you increase the XP you reduce the number of items required per level, so instead of grinding up 10 stacks of <item> per level, you may only need (assume a doubling of XP) 5 stacks, which means there are less stacks on the market, which means supply < demand which means prices increase.
Top down materials (gold ore etc.) will eventually see a decrease in price as more people hit 46+ faster so supply > demand so prices will drop.
