I'm thinking Class will become Physical levels and Jobs will be the new classes...Is anyone else curious about how these jobs are going to gain SP? Say at rank 30 pugilist you can unlock monk. When you switch to that job, does your rank reset to 1 or does it remain at 30? Furthermore, let's say my pugilist is already at rank 50, does my monk get rank 50 too? If not are those extra 20 ranks on pugilist useless? I'm not sure how this is going to work exactly, but I'm hoping the ranks for various jobs attached to one class are all the same, so essentially leveling one class will level up the jobs along with it too. What do you guys think?
alot of it was common sense
it was the way to change it without literaly reworking the whole system(which was what alot of the outrageous ideas did)
and i prefer my way of saying it then a multi post massive wall o text![]()

Pfft you're just jelly. :P
As far as the job system will go, I personally liked one idea that somebody brought up before, where you equip your 'class' weapon, and then you are able to choose from a specific selection of jobs that are associated with that weapon. For example, sword could let you choose Warrior, Red Mage, or Paladin, and a staff could offer White Mage, Black Mage, Red Mage, Summoner, etc. I think that would be kinda cool.
But in all honesty, they really gotta fix that action bar issue. It's annoying when changing classes often. That alone would make leveling up various classes so much more motivating.

Are you positive... are you HIV positive?
Get the hell over yourselves. lol
I'm just glad to hear about the Job System. I want my Thief and Monk.. dammit!
Yeah but as an extension I doubt they will be able to use anything other than the class that it branches from weapon. Unless they make specific gear for the new jobs as well. Who knows! Maybe they will use the class's equipment + new job specific junk.
Lets say Marauder becomes.
Dark-knight
Or
Warior
Both jobs can use the Great axes, but Dark knights can also use Scyths, and Wariors can use Great swords.I posted this in another thread. As far as the job system will go, I personally liked one idea that somebody brought up before, where you equip your 'class' weapon, and then you are able to choose from a specific selection of jobs that are associated with that weapon. If Jobs are implemented exactly as written above, it would be a BIG mistake. The logical flaw is the concept that a Job has a single "corresponding" Class. It should not be that Gladiator can ONLY unlock Paladin, or Conjurer can ONLY unlock White Mage. It should be that a set of Classes can unlock quests for a set of Jobs. Examples:
- Gladiator can unlock Soldier (aka Warrior), Paladin, Red Mage, or Dark Knight.
- Conjurer can unlock White Mage, Black Mage, or Red Mage.
- Conjurer and/or Gladiator can unlock Red Mage.
