if Hate is proportional to damage dealth, this means ARC will have to slow down.
Good things:
Jobs are specialisations within the armory system. I figured they were intelligent enough to take this route but I was apprehensive all the same. One thing I wonder is whether the specialisations will also add bonus/nerf stats as well as new abilities.
Skill and cooperation being important.
The game will save our gear and action-bar load-out. (Now if only it could save our point-allotment load out)
More NMs and content.
Bad things:
Sorry, maybe I missed something, but why are they implementing auto-attack? What is so special about auto attack that it will save this combat system and by extension the game itself?
So positioning will positioning no longer matter in combat? Auto attack in a game with no editive layer for animations means that we will be stuck in place the whole battle.
I still have no idea how the combat system will play.
At first I figured the jobs wouldn't be in 1.18 but after thinking it over I would venture to say that we will see them in 1.18 if only for the fact that the dev made it clear that the jobs were focused more for party play in the new dungeons and not so much for solo play.
Either way, I'm pretty amped about the details given and can't wait for the next patch.
Also I wonder if these new jobs will finally unlock the dual-wielding capabilities of the Gladiator...
I sure hope so.

I like the changes as long as it makes the game more fun, and populate the game a bit. Just guys lets not try to be Elitist jerks in this game alsoLets not have silly rules on petty requirements are do the loljob stuff. Lets make the game and our communities as fun as we can make them.
One pet peeve from ffxi was the silly rules like smn being a healer, or the loldrg or lolpup days.
Or it could mean other classes get more skills that do not do damage to deal 2x, 3x, 4x to the "Enmity Damage"
IE
Archer Uses Wide Volley Does 1000 Damage and 1000 Enmity Damage.
Gladiator uses Provoke and does 0 Damage and 5000 Enmity Damage.
I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.
@ gift the reason for auto attack is to ease the players due to the new changes of the jobs and class systems. Also the changes to hate and CC. having to manually attack (as much as i want them to keep it) will be too hard to do with the changes. We will have to much to do by the sound of it.
Looks like a lot of good things to come, I suppose its impossible to get a date on when things are to be implemented but the fact there is so much coming down the chute is very heartening for me. I am very happy they're taking (or seeming to) tactics avenue to leveling classes for the sake of others. It will promote longevity in the game - in particular if they slow down the absurdly easy ways to level in the game.
The only thing(s) (for me now) I'd like them to address is the exploit of failing leves to save super sweet ones for stupid fast leveling and the fact that leves are the focus of the games leveling design. Also, maybe addressing the issue that Ul Dah does have the best leves thus pigeon-holing the populace there and basically making the other cities redundant (my poor beloved Gridania).
All in all I am happy with whats to come.
That not a exploit lol they made it like that why in hell would you not want this? i can level up x2 faster by saving the good onces and not doing the rest. Btw failing your leves all it does is you lose Money,Gil,item so if the player want to do that let them you making gil and there notl ol.Looks like a lot of good things to come, I suppose its impossible to get a date on when things are to be implemented but the fact there is so much coming down the chute is very heartening for me. yeah from what they described, auto attack is doing nothing to help thier system, i guess it will give weapon speeds. buuut they could have done that via stamina, i thought they already had, but maybe i was wrong.
its cheesy to be rewarded for failure, and doing the same leves everytime gets boring. There are actually a lot of people who have no idea what any of the non ul dah leves areThat not a exploit lol they made it like that why in hell would you not want this? i can level up x2 faster by saving the good onces and not doing the rest.
