Fists of Wind is a level 34 ability that is activated the same way you would activate Fists of Earth/Fire.

Also, I'd like feedback on my 1 button FLANK attack spam macro and my AoE macro:
(Note this does not apply any DoTs but they can be manually added to the rotation as well as Bootshine)

    FLANK
    /micon "Dragon kick"
    /ac "Mercy Stroke"
    /ac "Snap Punch"
    /ac "Twin Snakes"
    /ac "Dragon Kick"
    /ac "Steel Peak"
    /ac "Howling Fist"
    /ac "Internal Release"
    /ac "Blood for Blood"
    /ac "Perfect Balance"

    AoE
    /micon Rockbreaker
    /ac "Rockbreaker"
    /ac "Twin Snakes"
    /ac "Arm of the Destroyer"

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Macros will work, but dunno why you'd make them, taking the soul of monk out of it
Monk should be manual class not 1 button spam, 1 button will not make you more efficient at the class, just make your 1 finger hurt more :P

You still have the viability of maxing DPS with this macro it just makes it so that you don't have to constantly check for your off-GCD abilities to refresh but rather this will use them instantaneously. Also it does the same with buffs (though some fights would require us to stack cooldowns for burst damage which this does not take into account). Macros ARE useful. The trick is just to analyze which sitations to use it or when not to.

I believe Monks are one of (if not the only) the few classes that can effectively use a macro spam due to form restrictions for skills thus queueing them up in our macro works out quite nicely.

That macro is trying to do WAY too much. First off, basic macros with gcd skills are kind of bad. They bug out sometimes and are in general a crutch. You need to be able to adjust to monster positions on the fly. Also, with non-gcds, you want to cast them between 2 gcd casts because they do have animations and will delay your gcd skills. A macro like that could work for trash or solo play I guess, but not in any serious fight.

Honestly if you want to be a better monk player don't macro attack skills. I would only do it for things like IR and B4B.

Why ppl use macros? Are u not skilled enough to press more buttons by yourself? Makes absolutly no sense to use macros as a monk. And wouldnt be fun either. Reroll tetris if its too complicated for ya.

Interesting.... so if people don't automatically do things your way they are instantly wrong and stupid? Sounds childish but alright. Why drive a car anywhere? Are you too lazy to walk everywhere? Why fly a plane? Can't you run? Why use a stove? Can you not start a fire by yourself?
The real question is why not use a macro?

This is like the blind leading the blind, or in this case, a self-righteous idiot defending a lazy idiot.

Obviously you have zero idea on how a MNK plays; 3 of the abilities he has on the 1st macro are buffs, spamming them lessens effectiveness. 1 ability has a STUN built in, bad when stuns have to be precise in crucial moments.

Can spamming that macro work? Yes, probably go unnoticed by most players on simple zerg runs like CM. Anything past that and you'd look like a fool using it and never progress.

Like I said I only use the macro selectively, so please learn to read before you jump ships and claim others are idiots. I would never use this macro for progression fights but rather I believe that MNKs are the only class able to use a single button macro spam and I'd like to take advantage of that when I can. Also, I am currently on Turn 4 BC and am topping AoE and ST dps easily, so I know what I'm doing. There are more than just buff effectiveness issues when using the macro, such as TP drains (Especially the AOE macro) that you would have to look out for but once you actually get past your 3rd rotation you can swap to this macro and it'll become viable so long as you keep hitting your DoTs as well as position yourself for Bootshine + Impulse Drive. Obviously this would never be viable for those aiming for max DPS, but it only falls about 30 DPS shy from the perfect rotation (would have to recheck) which makes it definitely viable for those farm runs.

Also helps heaps for bosses such as Chimera where you have to stack on its back leg and not move.

Trying to make Macros for monk problem is with Greased Lightning your skill speed drops from like 2.5ish seconds to like 2.05 seconds with 3 stacks. so how to make one macro to do the same combo with the changing recast on abilities? you can either must make a combo and have a wait of 2.5 but you lose out on half of the benefit of greased lightning or manually do each combo, but that really limits your space on your bar with 9 different abilities to combo with..... any tips on how to manage abilities?

I tried that rotation. Its more easier then complex rotations with impulse drives and bootshine and works brilliant on bosses with tail whips. What you think?
