How do i activate first of wind? I can turn on fire and earth but wind seems to need a stance or something
How do i activate first of wind? I can turn on fire and earth but wind seems to need a stance or something
should be no requirement to activate it, should work like every other fist ability.
On a side note... I wish they would fix the tooltip/buff description for these fists............. really sloppy, All they do is give 10% Dmg Reduction, 10% Movespeed, 5% DMG.
I swap to Fists when there is a big aoe incoming, such as Titans, Geocrush as 1 example, otherwise I am fulltime on Fists of fire, Fists of wind I use to run around when not fighting, thats about it, Never needed to use it/saw any point using it in a fight, Maybe in the future there will be a fight that warrants getting A -> B 10% faster, but for now I've not encountered any problems where I must run away from boss and lose GL stacks, where 10% move speed would help.
Fists of Wind is a level 34 ability that is activated the same way you would activate Fists of Earth/Fire.
Also, I'd like feedback on my 1 button FLANK attack spam macro and my AoE macro:
(Note this does not apply any DoTs but they can be manually added to the rotation as well as Bootshine)
FLANK
/micon "Dragon kick"
/ac "Mercy Stroke"
/ac "Snap Punch"
/ac "Twin Snakes"
/ac "Dragon Kick"
/ac "Steel Peak"
/ac "Howling Fist"
/ac "Internal Release"
/ac "Blood for Blood"
/ac "Perfect Balance"
AoE
/micon Rockbreaker
/ac "Rockbreaker"
/ac "Twin Snakes"
/ac "Arm of the Destroyer"
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Macros will work, but dunno why you'd make them, taking the soul of monk out of itFists of Wind is a level 34 ability that is activated the same way you would activate Fists of Earth/Fire.

Monk should be manual class not 1 button spam, 1 button will not make you more efficient at the class, just make your 1 finger hurt more :P
You still have the viability of maxing DPS with this macro it just makes it so that you don't have to constantly check for your off-GCD abilities to refresh but rather this will use them instantaneously. Also it does the same with buffs (though some fights would require us to stack cooldowns for burst damage which this does not take into account). Macros ARE useful. The trick is just to analyze which sitations to use it or when not to.
I believe Monks are one of (if not the only) the few classes that can effectively use a macro spam due to form restrictions for skills thus queueing them up in our macro works out quite nicely.
That macro is trying to do WAY too much. First off, basic macros with gcd skills are kind of bad. They bug out sometimes and are in general a crutch. You need to be able to adjust to monster positions on the fly. Also, with non-gcds, you want to cast them between 2 gcd casts because they do have animations and will delay your gcd skills. A macro like that could work for trash or solo play I guess, but not in any serious fight.
Honestly if you want to be a better monk player don't macro attack skills. I would only do it for things like IR and B4B.
