Dungeon progress shouldn't be allowed while party members are watching cutscenes

there is a non-story dungeon that drops both currency. Speed runners are a cancer that kills the games enjoyment. I hope all speed runners quit when Yoshi P prevents speed runs in the story dungeons because I'm positive he will do it because he did it to AK.

I hope you and others enjoy your last moments of speed running because it will end very soon and on that day I will find personal enjoyment and pleasure from knowing speed runners cant speed run anymore.

By which time the "Speed-Runners" will be in full Darklight progressing into Crystal Tower and Bahamuts coil, while leaving people who decided not to speed-run at a massive disadvantage in gear with the only method of acquiring it to either run AK at 35-120 minutes a piece or queue vastly undergeared into CT and suffer almost the same prejudice?

Is it hard to understand that people who speed run CM lock out people who watch CSs from fighting the bosses?

you made the entire thread about you and your own speedruns. thanks for posting that meme now I don't have to do it.

1) You are the one who claimed all speed runners are a cancer to the game.
2) I posted that if you're going to speed run anything, you should do it with your own pre-made group because of the previously outlined benefits.
3) I agree that people should be able to watch cut-scenes in context (during the dungeon, I watched them and the group bitched at me), see #2.

Having seen and been on both sides of the argument, the solution is this:

A first timer cannot skip their cutscenes. Period. Watch your story, this game is about the journey, not the end.

As a bonus for the entire GROUP, tomestone reward is doubled. It's fair to both sides. An extra 10 minutes in the dungeon for double the reward? I'd be begging for newbies to join.

The only problems about dungeon are ppl clearing every single mob when clearly you can skip them and still get the map achievement since dungeons don't even yield good exp. Also tanks that can't tank, healers that can't heal and dps that constantly interrupt a target that has been marked not to attack because they are cced.

I have seen CC used before but do not know what it means. Can you explain?

I really hate when people rush ahead, any time I do castrum and someone says they're new I tell people to let them watch their cutscenes. I also get lucky since I go in as healer, and I have a friend go in as tank, when we've brought people in to help them finish their missions and tell them not to feel pressure to skip their CS, we've had people try to be impatient and say skip or 'F THIS IM PULLING!' They get met with
Tank: Cool, I'm not taking it off you though
Healer: Don't expect me to heal you

I would say I agree with this OP but we've also had scenarios where people have gone afk for extended periods, a cutscene has started and they've stayed in it because they aren't there to advance the dialogue. Since there's no kick function either, one person who decides to go afk could prevent an entire group from progressing through the instance.

CC = Crowd Control

It refers to using spells such as sleep to control a group of mobs so that you are tanking less mobs at once.
