Same as you mentioned, really curious about Warburton and also the Assassin.. oh and also what did Nielesfresne see in the sarcophagus, hopefully we will get the answers in ARR.

Did Warburton have a shadow btw?

Yeah he did, every character from Ul'dah had a shadow. When Ferne announced the shadow thing I went right back to checking the cutscenes. I thought for sure that Corguevais wouldn't have a shadow because of the similarity of being an Elezen and stealing a Horn that can control monster like the Limsa story line...but Travanchet has a big big difference, he had his own music.

Least there's only 2 answers for the sarcophagus question...he was either in there or he wasn't. Of course that's then broken down because clearly he wasn't...I mean why would Nielle gasp, it had to either be empty or someone else, perhaps Corguevais, was in there. Corguevais and not Warburton would be the biggest surprise. But why and how would Warburton have faked his death while Ascilia and Corguevais looked on. As far as I know there's no flower in the ffxiv universe (like we have irl) that can induce a trance like dead state. But there is 1 thing that we do know of that can induce a frozen death-like state...the Heartstrike Dagger.

But how he could have been affected by the dagger and why Lord Lolorito would have allowed this is beyond me. So much speculation on my part, but that's all I have at the moment ((.

Ultimately what we're suppose to believe is that Warburton died when he pushed Ascilia away from the rampaging Goobbue. But there's no view of him getting hit by the Goobbue or the debris. He was suppose to have vital information for Ul'dah's safety..yet he stops to watch the parade with Ascilia. During the opening instances you can talk to Ascilia and Warburton...one of Warburton's lines is something like "Hello friend, do you know where I can get transportation to hamlet nearby I'm to meet a friend." Which is odd because you'd think the information is for Ul'dah and not Little Ala Mhigo/Silver/Gold Bazaar..not too sure if Little Ala Mhigo was yet established.

Now if the assassin had not hit Niellefresne at the time, I wonder what kind of truths we would know now. As we know from the Goldsmith class quests Lord Lolorito had Nielle assassinated because he stole the Heartstrike dagger from him. And Nielle's friend Greinfarr is looking for a way to "end" the frozen death state...I'm really really really really curious to see if Nielle is still suspended in ARR.

Anyways, simple answer: No one is an Ascian in the Ul'dah Storyline.
Speculation: Corguevais is in the sarcophagus.

Edit: Forgot to say, I still feel like the Lalafell Twins "took care of" Corguevais. After all they tell Rururaji (the Chocobo Lalafell) that they took care of him and sort of wiped their hands together. Whatever that is...but then somehow the body would have to get in the sarcophagus for my speculation to be right. So somehow it is. Also Siren!
