If a machine was made to replicate The Twelve's method of imprisoning him then I'd totally understand and say it was fine. But if a machine 'randomly' made Dalamud that way and then The Twelve imprisoned him afterwards using a technique that looked exactly the same... I'd say it was a bit weird.
Of course, if The Twelve imprisoned him BEFORE the machine was built, and they used it to imprison him the 2nd time, then I'd say that it was totally logical =)
We're told by Cid and it is known to history that the Allagan Empire used a machine to seal Bahamut. The Twelve is never mentioned to having played a part in his sealing. And there's no history of Bahamut being sealed before the Allagan Empire. What I said in another thread was maybe the Allagan Empire was at war with the Dravnians and the Dravnians summoned Bahamut, he was so strong that all the Allagans could do to survive was seal Bahamut away.If a machine was made to replicate The Twelve's method of imprisoning him then I'd totally understand and say it was fine. Also yeah the Sylphs have a Primal and could summon it they wanted, I believe a NPC Sylph tells you this in Gridania during one of the quests. The reason people assume Ramuh is the Lightning Bolt crest on their buildings and their currency. Funny thing is, there's no emblem on Goblin currency but the Qirin have 3.Here's Sylphs

Really? I wasn't aware of this. Seems like it's a bit backwards to me but whatever, I'm not gonna moan =bWe're told by Cid and it is known to history that the Allagan Empire used a machine to seal Bahamut. Someone mentioned that Sylphs were Lightning-associated, but that's all I've heard about them. Ramuh is definitely the Thunder primal though, since we've seen his artwork.
Cid could be wrong. It's not like he was actually thereDalamud really did look like a machine but then again the spell was undeniably reforming a case that looked exactly like dalamud around Bahamut in the CGI.
He wasn't there but his time with his father and the Garlean Empire his knowledge of everything far exceeds our own. There's nothing wrong with Loiusoix and the Circle of Knowing having their magic based seal upon the machine/weapon used to seal Bahamut. The outcome would be the same, but the magic failed, the machine didn't. Of course Bahamut knew what was coming when he saw the seal being formed and was given aether/power from our slaying of Ifrit and Garuda and Van Darnus' and his VIIth harnessing aether from all around Eorzea. Totally different times and circumstances. If we could only read the Allagan Tomestones that Van Darnus and the Garleans got to read, probably explains everything![]()

I'm not really dissagreeing with you. Maybe i'm thinking too hard but i could kind of imagine that the Allagans designed Dalamud and the Twelves power made it real through a magic ritual(placing the symbols of the twelve upon the land etc etc).
