I cant make plans without dungeon timers - I cant plan for shit if the LS doesn't want to give up but I'm like... ITS DINNER TIME GIVE UP. (timers let you say I've got 3 runs in me, rather then "We'll see")
Certainly the timer shouldn't make you feel like you need to do a speed run but at a certain point you just arent doing the dungeon right and need to try again lol.
Glad speed runs are gone though - they promote reckless strategies (or insane gear).
