    If its all tokenized then that means that sooner rather than later you are going to end up with everyone having all the gear, getting bored, and not playing anymore which will kill the game.
    honestly after 25 times and i dont have what i want. i already hate that content and dont want to do it anymore. with the exception of quick things like primals. can knock out 25 attempts in a day or 2

    I can't believe in 2013 we are expected to run the same instance 100+ times for 1 piece of gear or if unlucky none at all. Are people content with this kind of design?

    Even running an instance 50+ times. Why would anyone outside of the niche fanbase sub to this model.

    Especially since Yoshida said he wants a like patch content updates what is point of making someone run an instance 100+times. When the new content will be out for them to play.

    Especially since they want a tiered progression of content.
    There's two entirely different camps of people playing this game though so we have to take what SE dishes out.

    How bout they just make daily dungeon quest like wow. Where if you do a certain instance/instances you get a relevant reward. That is a motivation enough to do outdated content.

    Relic items are also a way for people who like to do old repeat instance x infinity model. They shouldnt force the outdated model on all players. Unless they don't want the subs of a large portion of non hardcore players.

    I don't actually see this stated anywhere. Just that there will be lotto rares and token rares => which could be the exact same items.

    Everyone could really be reading too much into this and what they are really doing is an odd hybrid of what Moogle/Iffy/Garuda are today. Token for every win, chance to get a 25% chance at a rare drop a couple times a week.

    Hardcore folks -> grind out your tokens and get gear fast, take advantage of lotto when possible

    Casual folks -> Only play your 2-3 lotto runs per week, still slowly accumulate tokens towards an item if your lotto wins don't drop the specific item you want

    Then on top of that, have tiered difficulty to the battles - Normal (Story), Hard (OK Gear), Extreme (Potential BiS Gear)

    Different tokens for Hard vs Extreme, needing both better gear and skill to beat Extreme, means everyone can continue leveraging the same content for a while. Hardcore players have moved from Hard to Extreme after a couple weeks, while casual players move from Hard to Extreme after a couple months. And then hopefully Extreme keeps everyone busy for a good amount of time because the battle is hard, not because of shoddy drop rates.

    This absolute best part of this was when they were like "Yea 2-3 drops guaranteed!" and then in the past people were like "Yo! Make some drops guaranteed!" and then today people were like "OMG stop rewarding luck, bc tokens! Grumble grumble still not good enough!".

    You just want it now now now, just admit it already. There's no shame.

    So what do you believe is fair? Do you want to work for anything or have it handed to you? Based on what you posted you want everything handed to you with little to no effort on your part. The Dev's have catered to you enough, if you dont want to do the content than thats your issue but if you want something from said content you need to be prepared to put the time and effort into it. There is no reason what so ever for a game to hand you anything and you do nothing to work towards or for it. If you want everything handed to you with little or no effort from you than maybe you need to find a game thats your speed, cause it seems FFXIV isnt your speed.

    I didnt get that all the gear part, but having done 50+ rounds on a primal with no show for reward expect 3 full stacks of level 5 dark matter I'm kind of annoyed.

    5 runs per armor piece isnt that bad though (10 pieces of gear, 50 runs) - depending on how short of a dungeon we are talking about and how hard of course (keeping in mind most dungeons will be longer in 2.0 and will level sync you so that you can't rape face).
