You missed most of explanations as to why there's no room for error in most of the encounter. World In Flames in particular requires tight maneuvering and good timing (that can't afford to be ruined by high latency, and delays in use would trivialize that part of the encounter).

Mind you that any additional damage from something like WiF will stress the healers, and unlike XIV or XI where raid damage (as in damage taken by everyone as part of the encounter) isn't very common, WoW's taken to using raid damage as a means to put stress on resources and challenge the healers on top of whatever mechanics involve the tank(s) during the boss fight.
