I am glad these portions of the quests are in, despite how a pain in the ass some of them are (Looking at you, Ifrit!), but it is fair and somewhat balanced for the most part.

my point was people complaining about hamlets are in for a rude rude awakening once they get done with them. I understand some people are upset about the time synch in hamlets but to be honest if they cant get past this part then there is no way they will be able to commit the time it will take them to master 17 min speed runs, Ifrit extreme, and Garuda speed runs.

another thing they will not understand

my group isnt even at those stages yet, but i already know what we are in for, and its gonna take a LONG time
we have 30 people looking forward to that, and not a single one of us has any misconception about what we are looking at, or a complaint about what we are doing now or whats ahead

we understand the whole point of this quest and obtaining these items, which is something it seems alot of people in these forums lack

I like the assumption that those still grind hamlets=inexperienced players...

So yes, a 17 min. speed run is gonna be a beast. And it's gonna take practice. It WILL NOT take us 2 months of solid practice to get one dungeon done. 1-3 weeks, maybe. Same with Iffy extreme. Garuda, well some already have the clear (some don't) but again, won't take 2 months of grinding her everyday for the clear to happen.

We're not bad players...heck not even all of us aren't 'hardcore' players. We're just players with less time to grind. That's it. So yeah, we've accepted we'll never be first to get something...we're cool with that.

We're not cool with the whole, 'You all don't work hard enough' looking down on us like we're the little people in the game meant to serve you.

we arent looking down on you for not working hard enough

as i said, i play 2 days a week really with decent hours
and the other 5 days im on an hour a day maybe

what we are looking at you for is because you are throwing a fit over the drop rates and how you dont have the time.

you sound like you want special treatment or the fact you have entitlement issues, you seriously sound like thats the issue with alot of these threads

the people who agree with you, are those who dont have seals yet(obviously) because they want to try and get in on the action of wanting things easier, regardless of how its done

alot of the people who disagree have their seals, or are working on them and understand the system as it is

No, I am the unfortunate player who's RNG has been broken the ENTIRE game so far.

It took over 100 Ifrit kills for my first weapon (this was PRE totems) the next weapon, dropped at over 200 kills
...others I helped were 7/7 by the time I got my first weapon.

But yeah, I didn't work as hard as them.

Moogle, different battle different luck right?

Close to 70 kills now= one weapon... a sword I'll never use

    Dungeons/Garuda=LOL

Personal seal drops in my own inventory: 0/100ish.

So there ARE people like me, who are steady-eddies, put in time and months later watch as all their friends are 'done' and they still have a LONG way to go.

Look I don't want 7/7 primal weapons. I've wanted ONE primal weapon from each Primal. I don't need a full Darklight set. I don't even care if it takes a while to get seals. What I care is that SE and other players start understanding is not EVERYONE has luck. If some people through RNG, not passing can get 9/9 in 2 weeks on seals, or 7/7 on Primals and another player can't get the same results putting in the same hours and dedication, there IS a problem. Pure and simple.

So continue to pretend that I'm being lazy if you'd like...tonight when I log in, instead of Farming Moogle for the staff I'd like before this version closes, or instead helping friends do Skirmish, I'll be out at the Golden Bazaar, crafting, or running in circles tagging pots, or healing crap...cause that is what I have to do. And what I'll continue doing until the group is 9/9.

    Seriously.

My LS is pretty damn awesome but we don't get to play together as an entire LS too often but that doesn't mean we should be spat on by some crummy drop system. Raise the amount of seals needed if they're made 100% drops, whatever. The fact of the matter is that people are taking the time and effort to do this and turning up completely empty-handed for their efforts. Unlike the double meld stage there is no real alternative way around it because top 3 is heavily reliant on the rest of the server. My heart seriously goes out to any groups that turned in millions of points only to get booted into 3rd place (which we realized was useless after we got someone into 3rd) or even worse got kicked down to fourth.

People have been asking for a quota system from day one so everyone can really progress at their own pace. Asking for 1 guaranteed drop with a 60k chest is not unreasonable as lucky groups get that anyway.

I know a lot of groups have nothing left to do in this game so are working on relics and it suuuuucks that this phase is going to keep people pinned down for as long as it will due to crappy luck.

    I never said we dont?

We play ~4 nights a week for a few hours and doing hamlet defense an entire evening without anything dropping is stupid. We might as well have not even logged on. It's not a good mentality.

If a single seal dropped they could increase the amount needed but it would be fine because at least we got somewhere anytime we did this event and hardcore players would still be able to progress faster because they have more time.
