That's rude as hell. Expecting everyone to partake in every aspect of the game is naive and not reflective of the typical MMO experience. There should reasonably be enough to do for most players with a couple of different lines of interest. The game is not there yet in that respect. Adding a "=)" at the end of a post also does not make it less disrespectful.

Apologies for being rude, but it's true. When you have people like Belgian, Kilta and Shikyo that complain about the game when they haven't even played it for any amount of time (some not at all), it's time to draw the line. I come here and try to be nice to the complainers, but I'm starting to see a trend. Belgian doesn't even have a 20 job yet. Shik doesn't have a job higher than 21. Kilta doesn't even play. These are a few examples of the crap that is on these forums. Again, if you haven't played the content that we have, then you have no right to complain about it and want more.

Nothing to do with rude .... I actually agree with Dubont. You have people here that hardly play(ed) and act like they finished the game. People whine about content, but didn't even do anything with the current content.

No MMORPG has lots of content at release and no MMORPG has lots of content for a level 20 ... like you can do so much in WoW at low levels ... or FFXI ... or EQ2 ... or any MMORPG. Seriously.

I think your point is mostly valid, but I don't think implying that everyone should level every job to the level cap before they could complain about content (that they like or enjoy) was appropriate for many reasons I think are apparent. There was a fair bit (maybe not a ton) of content in lower level ranges of those MMO's you listed, certainly more that FFXIV at the moment.

Are you seriously trying to defend the game like it has content? Side quests? They take a day or two at most. 20, 30, 36 class quests? Run around back and forth from point A to point B. Main storyline? Might as well just click on a movie clip because that's about as much interaction you really have with it. NM's? Five NM's with loot only half the classes can use.

EQ2 had multiple dungeons, a main storyline raid dungeon arc. Rifts has multiple dungeons, raid zones. Even games like AoC and Warhammer had more content. This game came out as a bare bones template, to say anything otherwise is just putting the blinders on.

No, I'm not trying to defend the game. What I'm saying is that 90% of the people who complain about the things in this game don't even play the game or haven't leveled to an appropriate level to actually access the things that they complain about.

I for one liked Tanaka. Yoshida hasn't done anything at all. Made the mobs bigger, made a list for the market, ...... Most of the issues were fixed before tanaka left. I don't understand. Your saying the game is getting fixed now. Nothing has happened for 5 months now or 4. Except for the few things that I said. Tanaka had plans already, we would have already seen more content with tanaka. Yoshida is changing a good base to a good game. Because of you people whining about, OMGS NO AUTO ATTACK, and HATE STAMINA, and HATE NO MP REGEN. That was all part of the strategy. Tanaka your still my favorite! Oh I forgot, those lame quests... thats nothing. Soo people, tell me whats so great about "Yoshi-P"

Nah, personally I don't agree with "level everything to 50 first" approach, but you could at least level one class to 50 before you start talking about lack of content.

I am in no way defending the lack of content and I actually agree there is a lack of content. I also know that they are working on it, since I read the developer posts and the other updates we get, which some of you clearly choose to ignore (not you, just talking in general here). Us crying here like little children that just dropped their candy is not going to help us getting content quicker and is also not helping the community in any way.

There is a huge difference between:

1) There is a lack of content. I hope SE is working on this. Hope they can give us more information soon, since I am already level 50 and I am bored.

or

2) SE sucks. The developers are probably sitting on their hands, drinking coffee with a straw, since well they are sitting on their hands. This game sucks, worst game ever. Tomorrow Pacman 4D will launch and all the players will leave this game for that game. I am already level two and a half and I don't even have a chocobo. Square Enix should give it up already, because I say so while drinking a nice brandy and smoking a big Cuban sigar.

I do believe FFXIV is an amazing project that will bring new standards to the MMORPG industry. It all began with promises from Tanaka, these promises, bring them in and we'll have a wonderful time. There were many things, during alpha and beta that were suggested and sometimes, promised, by Tanaka that were not brought into the game at release or were brought in too hastily, thus lacking the greatness that feature should have had.
Hopefully, many ideas and promises made then will see the light with Yoshi P. and many more.
FFXIV is an amazing project and if I can participate in it, by playing or helping the development, I will do so.
