I don't think Yoshida is that close minded that he will give smn perp cost like in ffxi.

I always felt magic should not use MP but cost stamina and lifeforce...thus multiple casts would further be slowed because of exhaustion in casting and bleed into HP...at the risk of death would you cast another spell? Or would you take a break...
POWER COMES AT A COST...how far would you go?
I think it's fine to raise this before the job is introduced. Surely ideas on how we'd like a class to be are better raised beforehand. It's better to get it right first time rather than have to fiddle around and adjust it too much after introduction. Personally I disliked playing SMN in xi and am not attracted to the idea of playing it in xiv but think it's perfectly fair for those who do wish to play it to air their views and ideas on the subject now.
Didnt they already say that the summoning mechanic would work totally different in this game? As in, a player company beats ifrit, and gets the ability to summon him one time before that ability goes back up for grabs to a different company. SO I don't think you will have to worry about perpetual anything bud. PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!
That's Company summoning, they said nothing about how the class/job will work and even if they added perp cost it won't be a problem since even in XI it was only a problem for lazy people, which is true for any MMORPG with any class.Didnt they already say that the summoning mechanic would work totally different in this game? The only thing we know is that they'll get lesser summons and Carbuncle might be the first again.
summoners will not summon primals in ff14. primals will be GC summons.Didnt they already say that the summoning mechanic would work totally different in this game? Yoshi mentioned Primal Gods would be summoned that way...he didn't rule out lesser primals to be individually summoned by other means.
