Like the the title says please don't add a cost to keep Avatars out. For the longest time in 11 it was the biggest handicap for summoner reducing them to only lesser whms with a bigger mp pool. They only time you would see them having a avatar out was 99% of the time casting a quick buff then dismissing them. The 1% was those who used Carby and had the gloves making him free. Smn and rdm both were used in ways they were not intended.
The Elemental being the hugest waste of MP per sec they couldve been pretty cool to use, if it didnt suck your mp down. The only 3 times i found a use for them is 1 getting the hell outta there. 2 if the mob was almost dead but you avatar died just some the elemental to finish it off. 3 elemental siphon.
It really wasn't till Abyssea that SMN began to shine and where everyone started to lvl SMN were they could spam astral flow and spam Blood pacts with no fear of running out of MP. Cause of all the Perptual cost down gear that had stats that increase the avatars power at the same time instead of having 4 different macro sets to have have them stay out, for magic dmg, phy damage, or a siphon set.
Be honest how many ppl here pre 75 actually let summoner do what i was suppose to be or just had it as a Backup whm cause you couldnt find a rdm or whm to be main heal. The only times ppl had smn in a party was either to heal. Or you were in a Smn burn party in Koroloka Tunnel lol.
And finally the Avatars should not auto dismiss when you run out of mp. It should limit it to only auto attacking only if you run out of mp. It should only Dismiss if you do it or it dies. It should cost alot to summon it. and It should work like playing a class the avatars tp to use skills and combos but your mp to cast its magic attacks sounds like an even trade to me. cause its not like Smn is gonna run up and hit it unless SE makes it that way which i would love honestly lol.
