I think Dawntrail in general should be treated as a insult to the community's intelligence. Sure would've been nice to include glam rewards like these in the lockboxes in the new exploratory zone yeah? No, they chose to include rare drops from the other ones which people grinded for ages to get.

Why even BOTHER grinding for something rare in this game like people do in regular MMO's if they release them in easy to pick lockboxes later.

Lets not even get started with the 10 000 merch collabs with expensive jewellery companies, dj sets and guitars. They are whale hunting

Let it go, it's been like three expansions ago; later, when OC chests were introduced in 2025. Also, I bought them at full price at the patch, and I honestly don't care if more players who started in EW/DT have cool glams and mounts. The more the merrier esp since, if you're relying on RNG drops, it's not really a reliable way to make money.

No one really cares if you grinded for X item in a MMO just be happy if you liked the journey to get it, even Ultimates are mostly common in LL.

They can sell the outfits for $100 each if the subscription fees go away. At this point I don't see a reason to pay for my sub anymore with the lack of content.

Aside from the misuse of that quote from the LL, you do know the people working on something like FT and the people creating cosmetic gear for the shop would be two entirely different sets of people, right?



The idealist in me agrees with this sentiment. The realist in me realizes that thought went away long ago. Personally, as long as a game with sub has only cosmetic items in its shop, I couldn't care less at this point. Where I'd take issue is including P2W elements in the shop (things that actually improve your character and can only be obtained through said shop).

Since you can't wear two sets of gear at the same time, it's an $18 glam with and optional hat/glove combination for $6, not a $42 glam.

Most of the glams on the Mog station range from $18 to $22 and are not Account wide, so it's not an uncommon price.

I tried it on in Dreamfitting and thought "that's a no from me", then left the inn and the first person I saw was wearing it. If you want to take some stand against the Mogstation, you have already lost that battle. You can vote with your wallet but you are not the police of what other people buy.

Honestly - Don't.
I know it's disappointing to see them buy it, but don't become a mob that harasses them.

It's better to have them know that this is just bad practice from SE, rather than gathering the pitchforks and take a dig at those people.
