I don't have to defend a 'terrible practice' but I do have to point out that there are actually two full sets of gear (chest, legs and feet), and that no other glam on the Mog station has two of each. So, yeah, $18, not $42. (or $24 if you want the glove/head combo, or $6 if you only want that).

Your snark aside, a gear set is a single purchase with a fixed cost. Since you don't even want the gear in the first place, why are you so upset?

I agree with OP.

This set honestly should have been craftable. I'm paying for the game, and they keep adding normal-looking gear for more and more dollars on the store. The really fancy outfits on there, or the NPC cosplays, I get. I even buy those sometimes. But this trend of more expensive outfits that make it feel like instead of playing the game to dress my character (I do a LOT of content for the outfits), they're just trying to remove that step and demand more money at the same time. This set also doesn't allow viera and hrothgar hats in a step away from promises. It makes me feel bad about spending any money on the mogstation at all because I'm losing faith in it.

Other points of faith lost: they haven't had a sale on anything that wasn't an event item since January, and then it was a handful of mounts. I usually use sales to outfit my alts with emotes and sometimes skips but those sales haven't existed either. Also, the event sales have been offset this year until a week into the event, so if I want to get stuff for the event for alts, it makes me wait a week and then the event feels super short because it is already half over by the time the store sale goes up.

I love this game and hate that the online store is making me start to feel bad about giving SE any money, because it keeps asking for more in a way that feels like it doesn't respect us as players.

Because people with more than one brain cell understand that this hidden price increase will affect future cash shop offers.

Also, yes, this is optional, but so is playing the game, so is my subscription, so is my participation. You can not let such things slide and expect an MMO to work. With more and more issues coming up, more players are leaving and the game will fall apart if this keeps going on.

I am having a difficult time supporting this company if they kick us in the balls every other month.

i copy and paste my answer from the other thread just for you :

The Streetwear Set had 2 Tops too and did cost 17,50€

Now the new set which has 2 different pants and the shirt looks the same (i dont take color in consideration because you can dye it) and instead to put it in a bundle for 17.50€ like the streatwear they deceided to split it up now we have :

13.50€ x 2 = 27€ + 5€ (Hat and Gloves) 32€

If you now deceided to buy only one set it still would cost 13.50€ + 5€ = 18,50€ which is MORE then the streetwear and we get LESS from it because the streetwear was 2 tops, and glams which has 2 tops or 2 pants are usually around 17,50 while glams with only 1 of each costs around 13.50€ so in other words for the price a "normal glam" usually costs we get a glam which doesnt even involve the hat and gloves anymore


Since a costume with only 1 piece each costs around 13,50 usually this is a price increase (if you only considering one set) of around 5€

its not about if i want it or not, its about the fact if we dont do anything against it square will start to be even greedier

and we are talking about a game which we have to BUY and pay a MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION
there shouldnt even be a shop, and the worst thing is 90% of the cool good looking glams are in the Store.
