Not true at all, at least in the sense being discussed here. What you're ignoring is player skill. The mechanics absolutely can be conveyed without needing Discord, and quite easily. The issue is people actually being able to do them without the real-time benefits voice chat provides. Things like Discord make it easier for people just learning content to get immediate reminders of important things, can help those who are easily distracted or have difficulty focusing to maintain that focus, and so on. But yeah, on this forum just random baseless bashing of game designers makes people feel better, I guess. Sad.

It does need a normal mode for an instance that caps off the zone where players organically join together to tackle that final challenge. That also should be where the field notes and TT card are. Field notes should never have their only accessibility locked behind optional, non-story content. At the very least they're going to have to make those available by other means in the future if they don't create a normal mode.

When I discovered the nature of FT, it eliminated any interest I had in running the other OC content. As far as I could make out, the only reason to level phantom jobs and grind currency was to get into FT. I would have stuck with it if a normal mode of FT was the effective capstone.

Yeah same here, I was originally doing it thinking my reward would be figuring out a fun raid with randoms instead it's either go into discord with a bunch of arrogant morons who think they're all that or not do it. I've made my choice.

As high a end player frankly if you think we should be keeping out of apparently your FT game, then you really ought to just stay out of these/'our' threads and mind your own business.

The game itself I found interminably boring, and i always felt dissociated from this thing everyone raved about.
But I found reading and hearing about the corrupt shenanigans of octogenarian Sepp Blatter at the helm of $1 billion operation with $1.5B 'cash' reserves absolutely fascinating. He was in the news every other day. The outrageous wrinkly grey haired balls of the man! It was fascinating.
It was the end of an era when he left and soccer once again became an interminably boring parade of prima donnas with glass ankles and stupid haircuts, that I had no interest in.

And unlike FT, I can actually get involved in these forums. I'm not being glib with that last bit either.
That is the VERY real reality. I tried twice to get into FT. It was just tree people including me on one occasion, and less than 10 on the next occasion. Peak gaming time. It was absolutely hopeless. That was well into the event, you can guess I hardly speed ran my way to 20. From there do you think I was then going to make any further 'effort' or attempts to get in? Only to probably be called a sniper, not healed and left dead in the floor? No. Just total absence of motivation for that. Quickly forgotten.

No. These forms are the stuff they orbit is fascinating though.

I genuinely dont think they're trolling. The crashout seems to have started with chaotic when they got kicked out for proglying. Just an honest to god meltdown.
