Did you really ask ''who is we'' in the healer strike thread with 900 pages of criticisms and complaints from dozens, if not hundreds of people? For you, and how you feel. Stop referring to the we when this is about you. Who is we?????
Every single MMO that I played which had the holy trinity had a shortage of tanks and healers. It has little to do with the lack of damage or how much healing they do, it is not about whether it's a simple class or complicated, most don't like to be responsible for others and enjoy seeing big numbers.
BTW, I also second it. If you don't like how healers are in this game don't play them. Easiest solution ever. No class can cather and satisfy everyone. some will like, some will not. Such is life, a tragedy leading to a singular end.
If “no class can cater and satisfy everyone” why are the healers 4 shades of one class? Like they aren’t even tryingFor you, and how you feel. Stop referring to the we when this is about you. Who is we?????

They basically said “every healer is now a different colour of SB WHM and if you don’t like that then tough shit”
We have 4 healers, not 1
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
Oh, I get it.. the 20 people + their alts spamming/farming this into oblivion somehow think they are the majority representative of the player base. Let me just..lol. Out of touch with reality much?
PS: apparently some have been playing a healer in this game for 14 years too. Pure comedy.

Well, the game did release in 2010. Sure, maybe they're forgetting to factor in that 'we are now in 2025' doesn't really count because we're only 21 days in, and sure, maybe they're also forgetting to factor in the 10ish months of time the game went offline to turn it into ARR. But I'd say it's entirely possible for someone to say 'I've played a healer in FFXIV for 14 years' and it be mostly trueOh, I get it.. the 20 people + their alts spamming/farming this into oblivion somehow think they are the majority representative of the player base. As for how many people have participated in the thread, I'd link the spreadsheet that one person made to try and show that either A: the people complaining are too casual to have any understanding of how Healer kits work in high end content (the content they're really designed for), or B: that the people complaining are too hardcore to understand how the things they're asking for will ruin the casual's play experience, and so said hardcore player is out of touch. Unfortunately, said spreadsheet no longer seems to exist, likely because the person saw the data show that actually, we have some casuals, some hardcores, and everything in between. Plus, it was incredibly silly of them to imply that 'level of skill/content completed = how much of an opinion you're allowed' when it comes to something as wide reaching as 'job design'.
We've had a lot more unique posters than '20 plus some alts'. We might not be 'the majority', but there's no need to make up numbers like that, it makes your argument/stance on the matter look incredibly fragile
As for 'how many Healers do we have in the playerbase, vs how many DPS/Tank', the only numbers I've seen about the topic came from someone who was diametrically opposed to me on the subject. And the numbers they quoted showed that HW actually had the highest 'percentage of playerbase' as Healer mains, at almost 25%. Ever since SB, it's been lower, with a small bump in EW due to SGE's release but never reaching those HW peaks again. So, if the changes over the years that were meant to attract non-Healers to the Healer role, haven't, then why keep going down the road when we can see it's not working? Sunk cost fallacy? Too much pride to admit to failures? We may never know, which is sad, because FFXIV was reborn from its potential 1.0 induced death precisely because they were able to say 'we messed up and we're going to work to fix it'

Now I have to find out; am I an alt of Roe? Snow? Ty? Zaytex? Maybe I'm somehow Striker trying to argue incessantly to keep the thread on the front page? Maybe we're all secretly the same guy. Maybe I don't exist. Do you exist? Maybe you're Striker in a different hat. Maybe I'm you, maybe you're me.
Or maybe, since that'd be a huge waste of money to stay subbed to create fake arguments on a forum, we're all actually individuals that have complaints over the years with how healers are designed and you merely disagree, but instead of a mere disagreement, you're peddling conspiracies.
And yes, the guys and gals who have played healers for 14 years, who have knowledge of both how they play now and how they used to play, can make an informed comparison over which they find better. I don't see how that's comedy? You'll have to explain the joke to me.

I don't remember who had the one signature with the titanmen quote but that I guess
Well I was once told I was an alt of Supersnow, despite the fact that we don't talk the same way, have the same experiences or even agree sometimes. Now I have to find out; am I an alt of Roe? Snow? Everyone is my alt apparently. Somehow I ended up the most recognisable one
(Also note forsaken is right in that I listed 14 years because I’ve played since the legacy beta in 2010)

I'll be your Alarasong Two.
All the more proof of an elaborate ruse! If you agreed with Supersnow on everything, and talked like him, why, it'd be too easy! So you had to craft some disagreement to throw off the paper trail, but I can see through your silly little game.
We are Supersnow. Your consciousness will be added to our own. Resistance is futile.
