Why do casual players seem entitled to cosmetic items added in game?

By this logic, people who want to look unique should be happy it's gated behind difficult content/millions of gil because then that means there won't be thousands of people wearing it day 1.

Not really, ideally you would want as many hairstyles and customisation options to be with the game by default as it then gives a diverse amount of options to scale through by default.

It doesn’t really do well if the default choices are already limited beyond what should be reasonable for a game of this size.

If the game actually had the ability to provide a diverse and wide range of features then it wouldn’t really matter where they are from, but they don’t because they’re largely creatively bankrupt and rely on player events lol
