Why do casual players seem entitled to cosmetic items added in game?

i miss the days when we are just players and not sorted into these rankings

that just comes with the game being multiplayer I think, there will always be the casual audience and hardcore audience

Surely the distinction arises because there is normal and hardcore content, the latter being something that the bulk of the player base cannot or does not wish to do?
