i mean, to be perfectly honest
it's not unreasonable to assume that people who dislike her simply for being trans exist. that's not good. there's also no doubt that there are dumbos who sent shitty messages and/or threats.
what i do question, is that it is common / the magnitude of it. i saw NOTHING but praise ( from the usual suspects, with certain flags in bio ) flooding every post she speaks about it. obviously, a very unhinged 0.5% will do their thing, but that's literally just how internet is. you cannot do anything about it at this point. i do doubt the doxx tho.
therefore, i'll reject her victim card.
edit: i'll also add i literally did see cases of people saying "wuk lamat is boring as a character" and they got responded with "ITS BECAUSE YOU HATE THE VA WHO IS *drumroll* TRANS!!!1". i bet those are are counted as "harassment" as well.

There is no reason to even bring up the VA or say it's "gone woke" as an outsider who doesn't play the game if he was actually talking about how much people just dislike the character regardless of region. It's pretty transparent.

Grummz is an opportunist cashing in on outrage woke culture war BS on any strand he can find, and he would be completely irrelevant if people just ignored him.

(2) People who see transphobia, homophobia, bigotry everywhere, and even

(3) FF14 fanboys and the SE defense force who have found a convenient scapegoat and category to lump all legitimate criticisms in,

we are now in this quagmire, and sadly the community is quite literally too stupid to dig itself out of it.

did you even read the tweet from the screenshot you posted? even he says that wuk lamat is insufferable ( ngl, i liked her in EW and through maybe first 10h of playthrough of DT, but later on also found her awful and annoying) AND ( AND =/= BECAUSE ) is voiced by trans voice actor. which is, objectively, a fact.
i'm curious - why did you conflate the two?
