i think we should stop talking about this person.
She just destroyed her career on her own volition.

But, i'm pretty sure that soon she will come back saying that nobody want to hire her because she is trans.... When in fact nobody will hire her because she's a jerk and a nightmare for PR (and not a good VA anyway)

I mean, I keep in touch with this thread out of sheer morbid curiosity because I wonder what'd happen if they do fire her. Will there be a backlash of 'SE is a transphobic company with transphobic/racist community' and then we'd see something like what happened in Hogwarts Legacy where streamers get harassed for playing the game by association? If Sena even has that much influence (probably not), aside from trying to split the community up and pit them against one another like pokemon.

I'm alittle worried about the future of this.

She already soured the character for me because I'll never see Wuk or hear her and be like 'yep I can enjoy the story uwu', it's why I don't like knowing much about VAs or their personal lives or views but this kinda was very much inescapable.

And that's where being trans becomes a weapon. Not because you're a piss poor person, not because you did a piss poor job, not because you are the racist, misogynist and any kind of those nasty things...no. It will come down to being trans, nothing else. And if I'm being honest, I hope they do fire her. Because no matter what, in this Square has my support. It won't make much of a difference, but this person needs to go.

I think it's high time to fire her. This kind of behavior of a representative is dangerous for any company. I had to check if this was real because it's so crazy. Even worse, her devotees are saying they want her to 'spill more tea' about DT in the comments. The drama will get even more ridiculous at this point.

So. That's NOT BLACK GOSPEL, simply put. Black Gospel is religious music that has certain particularities to it that define it as such - choruses are one of them, but there's a lot of others and I'm no music expert to give you details. But what I *can* give you is that there IS a MMO credits song made by the Japanese that basically does use Black Gospel and it's pretty great.

Compare that to Smile, and you'll see that it DOES NOT LINE UP. Smile is superficially similar to christian gospel music in the most base of senses, and is far more of just a disney song than aything else.

Simplest I can distill it:

Sena is saying anyone who doesn't like Smile is racist because it sounds like music played in churches attended by Black People.

Like, just say it sounds like gospel music, Sena. There's no reason to bring race into this.

She implies that people who dislike the particular song are racist towards Black Christians.

The song in question has absolutely nothing to do with Black Christians. Namely the genre/style of the song has nothing to do with gospel music, the compositor is Japanese and the singer is Asian American.

What she's doing is deliberately creating drama and friction within the community to try to distract from her own drama. She's trying to use Black people as a scapegoat shield, while painting us (collectively as a community) as racist.
