here's the thing. we're going on 6 years of bad healer gameplay, and healers BLEEDING numbers slowly and steadily throughout those years.

if people actually wanted to pick up healer, at this point, they would have.

there was a tiny jump in EW with sage, that rapidly declined. farther down than pre-ew numbers.

If enough people thought healers were fine enough to play healer themselves, they already would be.

but there's not.

the gameplay isn't fun, there's no incentive to play them (ex- tank specific mounts & titles), and i really TRULY doubt that anyone who already didn't want to play a healer will suddenly want to play healer.

we've had healer instant queues for SIX YEARS. If SAM mains wanted to try healer, they could have. and might have. and didn't stick with it.

we've had this dialogue ongoing for years, on the forums, on other sites, in game... for over half a decade now. nobody plays healer who doesn't want to play a healer.

i don't think dps mains will put their money where your mouth is.

If healer were leaving/stop playing healer as much as you think SE would have done something already.

More people disliked HW healer than current healer.

Remember the strike back in ShB because only 1 dps button? Yep nothing changed.

Most healer are casual who are happy if nobody dies even if warrior self healing helped more than they did.

Most healer are casual who are glad them dieing by failing a mechanic doesn't always lead to wipe and most people are also glad they didn't wipe because someone else mistake.

It doesn't matter how much page this thread has. It doesn't matter how much CC are capitalizing on your strike because they don't have anything better to show their viewer. Because you can't compromise since what you want and what they want is mutually exclusive.

You can accept it and either keep playing healer the way it is, move on to another game that suits you better or try dps/tank.

girliepop, what do you think them flattening healers' toolkits was in shb? that was an attempt to increase healer numbers. that uh. didn't really work out for them so well.

and look. i just wanna have fun in a game, princess. healers being boring as sittin in a church service isn't fun for me. i'm glad you're having fun. i hope you are! i hope you love the game and that it never stops being fun for you.

shouldn't you want other people to be able to enjoy the game too?

or like... maybe make one healer that will appeal to a certain kind of player, and another healer that would appeal to another and so on and so forth. They have 4 healers. Make one play like HW another like SB, and another like ShB and everyone is happy.

Casual healer here: I am not happy about the state of healers. Please do not speak for us.
Other people have talked about the problem better than I could so I will say this instead: Would you be okay if dancer's dance steps only had 1 step and you were only given 1 button to attack? No? Then why are healers allowed to be in this condition? Is it because it is convenient for you to not care? Easier for you to simply push people down because you would rather not think about what it is like playing this role?
Do you think healers are in an acceptable state? Are you okay with healers only having 1 button to press because no one is taking enough damage and tanks effectively can heal themself?
You know just as well as I do the game would fall apart if all healers stopped playing. Most players already have given up on healer because it is the worst role in the game. Maybe you don't notice because it has been bad for a while so you are used to it. Change is scary, I know. But sometimes change is needed for things to get better.

oh sweetie you sound really upset. maybe you need to take a little walk and have a glass of water? if being in this thread really upsets you this much you don't need to be in here.

i really suggest that you go do something else for a little while. you're clearly incredibly upset over the idea that other people aren't having fun, and want to have fun.

who is this majority? Dps players? I would rather not have healers appeal to dps mains (if a dps main looks at a healer job and wants to play it though, then more power to them). I want healers to appeal to healers.
