Not everyone on here has all their characters listed. A lot of ppl come on here on their alts, which they may not be running through ultimates, or even extremes. So you cannot really gauge what a person does or does not do by the character they use for the forums
I unfortunately have static commitments through Eden Ulti that will keep me from observing the strike initially, but once the watered-down-husk of what AST was is leveled up I won't be healing in DF or PF content. I've been a healer main for years and my tolerance for being disappointed over and over again can't go any lower after Astro's 'rework'
Chiming in with my support! I will likely level AST to level 100 then stop playing it since they have decided to remove the only somewhat fun part of the job. I joined in EW so I didn't really get to experience any past expansions of AST. I have felt the dissatisfaction among the community for a time now. It really saddens me to see SE has not been listening to anyone for a long time now.
I love the men in this game
I finally return to the game! Current goal: getting all my jobs to 90
Yeah, I've noticed when I was skimming through the pages. It wouldn't do anyone any favors if the thread gets taken down due to unnecessary hostility. What's not fine is expressing disagreement in the form of "lol lmao, this game isn't for you, quit and go back to WoW". That's an extreme example, granted, but a lot of people have come along and started viciously mocking people in this thread with no provocation, that is the fact of the situation at the moment and it's making the community appear very unpleasant. You can just read through and see how many people call us names and also call us toxic because we're burdening the DPS players with longer queues, all because we choose to not play a role in an MMORPG.
If in any case they'd do an emergency hotfix to remedy the situation... they can start by removing Seraphism. I don't want to be a member of a historically frowned upon group of people who happened to wear white tablecloths
Dude.there's no society on the planet where what you just CHOSE to type out and post isn't absurdly rude and hostile.
i'm sorry that your life is so unfulfilling that you need to come into the a forum on a discussion of something that you claim doesn't affect you, just to feel better about yourself by trying to start fights. maybe you should go volunteer at your local library to reshelve books. it would be more productive than starting fights on the internet.
You guys are unironically trying to organize a STRIKE on a Japanese MMORPG.
The fact that you don't even speak the same language as the majority of the game's playerbase (also said game's target audience) should have been enough to dissuade you all from thinking this was a productive endeavor.
I can't even type that with a straight face, I'm not even trying to troll, I'm just being honest. It's the type of thing that people joke about when discussing terminally-online MMORPG addicts.
You guys want to sit here and pretend like there's some universal, unspoken 'union' of Healer mains or something when it's literally not going to result in any meaningful action.
Nobody is going to partake, at least not in enough numbers to where it results in a meaningful or desirable outcome.
I brought this up in a discord server that I'm in and people's responses were "wait since when was there a union?" and I linked the thread and people started laughing. They're laughing at this very idea. I'm laughing.
That '#FFXIVHEALERSTRIKE' might as well be a clown costume because they're also laughing at you all for rallying behind this.
I don't see how anyone can sit there and accuse me of trolling or fishing for bait responses when the very concept is so ridiculous that I would presume it to be bait.
Actually, let me ask people in the thread this:
What's the plan?
Do you guys have an actual way of persuading people into partaking in this when all they want to do is probably play their game?
Are you guys going around advertising a discord in-game? Talking about it in /shout chat in Ul'dah or Limsa?
What will you guys do when people who just want to play the game get tired of it inevitably begin reporting people who spam the clown hashtag for organized trolling?
What sort of grassroots activity has actually happened aside from blogging about it and acting like you're able to make progress?
More people were (rightfully) upset over Haurchefant being butchered than this, and the devs actually owned up to that and admitted it was a mistake.
Seriously. Just think about it from the context of another game for more than a few seconds and then it'll probably hit you.
If not, gods speed and gods damn.

bless your little cotton socks, but if you don't like this thread, nobody is making you be here.
you being hostile to people in a thread that you don't need to be in is more of a problem than people using their own personal agency in how they play a video game.
so sweetie. kiddo. why don't you go do something productive with your time, if we're all "terminally-online mmo addicts" as you said. go volunteer at a library! or at your local humane society! you'd have a better time than riling yourself up and being nasty to people. ^-^
Didn't you guys know? My discord is LAUGHING, SCOFFING, CRYING at the very idea of a strike!!! Stop it at once!! Maybe you don't know this since you're not terminally online like us, but strikes on JP games don't work!!!
Like, think about it from the context of WoW. That game hasn't EVER experienced a downtrend based on player discontent!
One could say their discord is organizing a strike against strikes.Didn't you guys know? My discord is LAUGHING, SCOFFING, CRYING at the very idea of a strike!!! Stop it at once!! Maybe you don't know this since you're not terminally online like us, but strikes on JP games don't work!!!

Sage has failed to live up to the fantasy of a sci-fi DPS healer. Please change this for 8.0. Make Sage fast, exciting, and aggressive. It should feel like a healer that plays like a DPS. Empower the aspects of Sage's unique healing mechanics: Kardia and Eukrasia to give its healing playstyle more identity.
