Just create an anti thread?
It doesnt matter, if there are people who approve or disapprove with this.
There were players who liked RNG card system of AST and the devs still removed it completely.
This thread exists to send a message.
Someone please remind me why healers needed their offensive kits pruned.
Why we needed Aero 3 and Aero 2 removed and replaced with nothing. Fluid Aura? Same.
Why we needed Shadowflare, Miasma 3 and Miasma 2 removed and replaced with nothing.
Why Combust 2 had to be removed.
All unique effects, AoE dots with different timers. Filler time tools that provided depth to a part of the healer role that we are still expected to fill.
None of the "justifications" I've heard explain how these removals improve healer gameplay. They aren't clunky, they aren't conflicting with healing.
This isnt gonna do anything, what will this accomplish? Healers arent needed to begin with
I find it odd for the hatred some people have for this yet they keep coming back to remind us of their hatred.. weird.
#FFXIVHEALERSTRIKE
- Seraphism is BAD.
- Give us back Shadowflare and make Deployment/Emergency Tactics affect Biolysis
- Give us back Rouse
- Make pet management rewarding.
+1
This Tank/Dps player stands with you guys. Even if it's likely to get ignored, we at least have to try.
I can understand where this all comes from, because healing is incredibly boring to play now one hundred percent. But as some said, they barely ever look at these forums, I still remember the times when NA shout chat in the hub cities was PURELY bot spam, and I think someone did say that here, and it wasn't until YoshiP went through NA worlds being lambasted by that sort of stuff before they made any attempt to cull it. Ideally they do something about how boring healers are, but... I don't see that happening any time soon, but one can hope. The rest of this is seen from my viewpoint as someone who plays ALL classes, and not just a single one.
Saying this is "popular" is a bit of a stretch when, even if you topped one thousand people in the Discord, you're still less than a single percent of the active player base. 169 out of 550k is like 0.03%? Somewhere around there, this unfortunately won't gain much traction because with new players coming, returning players, players who don't care will come in to fill the void left by people here not playing a healer, or playing the game for that matter. For anything to change, you need a significant portion of the player base to do anything, and not just a few thousand, you need tens of thousands of players to actually do it before there might be an actual effect felt.
On the topic of tank classes getting healing, you can primarily attribute that to people being spiteful in dungeons as healers, or healers not actually learning their job, or just a general malaise towards actually healing. Is it necessary? Probably not, but at the same time having the ability to keep a dungeon going because your healer decided that they didn't want to heal you because you did something they didn't like is nice, because instead of wasting the two other player's time in the dungeon you can continue as normal. It's functionally players ruining it for others, you know... Like how literally any other job can ruin a run by not having a single clue what they're doing, but more so on tanks and healers as they can dictate the pace of a dungeon, effectively either making a smooth quick run for the other players, or an absolute waste of time for other players.
All in all, I hope they make healing a better experience, sooner rather than later but... I'm not optimistic on CBU3's track record for this kind of thing.
I'll bump just on the off chance they even read this thread.
Just to put it into perspective, the "please stop genderlocking gear" thread on the front page has 117 likes and that's probably considered a majority opinion. This thread is getting even more support than that.
