    You'll have to forgive me for not having compassion toward people who think it is worth throwing a fit over the developers choosing to change the game in a way they and I think is positive. You'll adapt to the changes and likely have more fun playing them too because the job will flow better and have more consistent moments of power. You had your fun already, time to move on.

    If you think I am the one being pretentious that's fine. You're entitled to your own perspective. Personally I think it is pretentious to act like adapting to clunk is complex, nuanced, or elegant. Sorry for your loss, but the world moves forward.

    Why do you feel the need to tell people they're wrong for being upset, why are you acting like you're the morale ground because you "agree with the devs" on this certain topic (we both know you don't agree with their in-action to certain tools lol).

    Personally I'm not really that upset about samurai changes, Theirs some things i dislike about DRG changes like removing its jump animations and I play standard Black mage, but y'know what playing standard black mage never really effected me knowing that some people would come up with non standard rotations, I'm not a high end optimiser and I think people who put in the effort to learn the ins and outs of a job should feel rewarded. Anything beyond standard was never required to clear in the first place.

    Seems like you want all jobs to have a very low celling so people can feel good about themselves, when generally speaking i think jobs should be approachable by new comers but having a high skill celling doesn't make it a badly designed part of the job. Having high skill celling gives people a goal to work towards. while keeping the floor low enough lets people pick up a job without struggling. This game already has more then enough of a low celling for any player to get into (job design wise)

    At the end of the day the reason why you keep posting is because it makes you feel Superior to others, which is pretty pretentious in my opinion. (that or you're trolling, both likely).

    This thread went from discussing upcoming changes to DRG to attempting to explain core DRG mechanics to the uninformed to now theory crafting the inner machinations of a troll.

    Guy is just baiting for attention. They've offered zero meaningful discussion, just berating people on a topic they openly admit they're clueless on. When bro realises hes fumbling and out of his depth when debating core DRG mechanics, they clumsily grasp at weak justifications like convincing themselves everyone is just mad and angry and throwing a tantrum just so they can convince themselves they're doing gods work by putting these babies in their place.

    You can't reason with people who actively avoid informing themselves.

    1) because it's a video game balance change. Life goes on. 2) You're right, but it's actually a complex problem because solving it means adding an anti-cheat system to the game. Personally I don't have any issue with that but the devs do apparently.

    I want jobs to have an appropriate skill ceiling and to make sense by design, not having to do some contrived tricks to optimize the rotations. Anyway you're right it's pointless to keep discussing this, I already understand why a few people are against the changes
    and I already know I feel their concerns are invalid. No reason to keep beating a dead horse.

    @Reldhir: I did inform myself, and I still think you're clinging to poop. I don't have to be good at current dragoon to understand how it plays, I don't have to have experience. It's going to be better and you think you're doing something fancy but the reality is it's nothing special. It's contrived and simple.

    So, "appropriate skill ceiling and makes sense by design", appropriate for who and makes sense for who? Everyone is different, something that one person finds incomprehensible might make perfect sense to someone else. Who can legitimately claim to be the arbiter of what makes sense and what doesn't?

    Anyway, soon we will know the changes for sure. When we do, make sure to provide feedback on DRG and any other job so that our voices are heard.

    Hopefully, that'll mean a positive change in the medium-term and if not, at least for 8.0... right?

    How do you feel if they used PvP 1-1-1 for AoE Rotation only? DRG's AoE combo is 100% line, it would open up two slots that don't see much use.

    Other stuff I've been thinking to save hotbar space is if Wyrmwind Thrust was a power up to Piercing Talon, it even fits thematically.
