Pictomancer is absurd

We could've had Matoya's magic with realistic-looking summons.
Instead we got cartoon-network level mage with crayon drawings.

One is FF inspired
The other is ONLY inspired by that painter job in ffvi

Matoya animates/uplifts frogs and brooms and gives them sentience and summons a sentient water construct based on water just like how Carbuncle is a sentient construct based around a gem.

But I'm not sure how frogs with wizard hats, water drops with big ol' eyes, and brooms that look like they're straight from Disney's Fantasia aren't cartoony anyway.
