I do like SCH's muted visuals though. There's really no reason to make a backline tactician have flashy animations. They should have upgraded the GCD heals when they added the increased healing magic potency trait considering the garbage scaling of the GCD heals was way more prevalent in ShB than it is now because we have that trait
At least then they could have argued they were sequestering visual upgrades into one expansion (though SCH still has like 5 other skills that need upgrades visually), but if they try to sell us succor 2 as gameplay changing then they really have no idea what they are doing
Speaking of, it would be nice if they allowed us to have animation packs for people that prefer one over the other.
I don’t think they need to give SCH the “holos or pnuema” treatment but SCH has a bad problem where succor, whispering dawn, fey illumination, angel whisper and seraphic illumination specifically really are absolutely terrible at representing their range with their animation
Whispering dawn has the small ring of stars but that ring doesn’t extend 15 yalms, fey illumination gives zero indication of its distance, it’s just its distance is so big you can barely miss it and succor really ought to be represented either like a bubble or like e prognosis that has very specific bounds
I’m fine with SCH being muted but AOE heals should accurately represent their own range
I can agree with the need for clearer visual definition, but when you said visual upgrades, I immediately thought of upgraded flashy animations.I don’t think they need to give SCH the “holos or pnuema” treatment but SCH has a bad problem where succor, whispering dawn, fey illumination, angel whisper and seraphic illumination specifically really are absolutely terrible at representing their range with their animation

They will probably gonna do the next best thing - upgrade existing abilities to more powerful versions. Because more heal potencies and more powerful mitigations is what everybody needs, right?![]()
I'd add another point:1. Fix Toxikon--make it a worthwhile DPS tool that I regularly interact with.
2. Decrease the duration of the DOT to 15 seconds and the cooldown of Phlegma to 20 seconds to make Sage feel more fast paced like in PVP.
3. Add at least a couple new attacks to Sage's arsenal, preferably ones used more frequently than once per 120 seconds.
4. Turn Pneuma into an actual DPS tool, preferably with a shorter cooldown. I want my laser to be a part of my attack pattern, not a glorified Cure III that's DPS neutral.
Make the job actually interact with Kardia instead of leaving it as glorified Embrace spam. You have a perfectly functional mechanic to build around.
Kardia and Eukrasia both have so much potential and are so underutilized.
One thing they could also do next to reintroducing more healing abilities on the GCD or repurposing some into it, could be to also dramatically shift the paradigm of GCD heals vs oGCD heals in a way that makes oGCD heals extremely thin in comparison. No more silly 800 potency OGCD heals and shields and whatnot. Make it diffuse, small, like something that will definitely put apart a good healer from the average healer, especially if some small mitigation also comes attacked to some (5%, etc). In counterpart make sure that the GCD heals are the strongest tools on the job for the simple reason that the healer has to sacrificed actual GCD economy to use them. The current model where GCD heals constitute the last resort for healers doesn't stand anymore, much like cure 1 doesn't stand in a system where MP doesnt matter.
I'm dropping healing for 7.0 after telling myself to hold out for "one more expansion."
And YoshiP will probably see my shift in the population and think that it's a sign that healing is too hard and pushing players away.
There is no winning.
The eternal problem
If we stay they call the numbers healthy and change nothing
If we leave they think we are leaving because healer is too hard and make it easier
