I honestly am curious what would happen if enough people stopped playing healing completely and swapped to DPS, while regularly flooding the queues with DPS and refusing to budge until healing received proper adjustments, and no amount of simplifying or making the role easier made any impact on the massive drought.
Sage has failed to live up to the fantasy of a sci-fi DPS healer. Please change this for 8.0. Make Sage fast, exciting, and aggressive. It should feel like a healer that plays like a DPS. Empower the aspects of Sage's unique healing mechanics: Kardia and Eukrasia to give its healing playstyle more identity.

But I'm saying that no amount of simplifying draws in enough people in that hypothetical. The state of DF gets critical due to lack of healer participation because almost no one is willing to put up with the boring gameplay.

To be honest, I am starting to lose faith that the healers will get any better. Not sure how they came up to the conclusion that simpler + flashier = better.

They learned that from EW SMN apparently: "I feel like I"m -really- summoning things now!"---summon what? That's literally just some flashy VFX attached on an instant GCD.
I have died inside once for calling out that benchmark GCD heal as Medica III giving off the same PTSD as EW Holy III for having lily insignia attached on it while having absolutely no relation to their actual lily gauge. I think I will die again inside couple more times when we finally learn anything at all by 16th May lmao.
Because previous iteration of summoner where you just spam ruin and press a button for your pet to swing a little harder once a minute felt extremely engaging and varied. Now it's also ruin spam, but at least there's some impact to the summon attacks and actual tangible feeling like summoning is happening and it's relevant to the job in some way.
