13. The cast is made of dogshit, inside and out. Not a good character in the bunch. A lot of folks didn't care for its battle system either. Weird ATB hybrid where if the party leader dies, you lose. Silly.

FFIV it was Kokkol actually. You're thinking of the town of Tokkle which was also in the same map lol

FFVII it was 6 flyers to collect

FFVIII it was the pocket station, which is how you can access Chocobo's World and get the exclusive Mini Mog summon item (not a GF)

FFX was 200 dodges actually (would've been mental if 1000 was the case)

And FFXII was the Zodiac Spear. Although the method I described to get it only applies to the og ps2 version.

I'm all for constructive criticism, but I think it crosses a line when folks start insulting or speculating about the devs. Nothing good comes from that, and I assume that's the kind of stuff this article is talking about, since historically Yoshi-P has always seemed to be able to hear constructive criticism of the game well during Q&A's, etc.

What I found most interesting about this is that he is being referred to everywhere as "FFXVI's Yoshida" or "FFXVI's producer". Sounds a lot like he has moved on from XIV and will be focusing his attention on XVI and it's DLC plans. Not sure what that means for us here yet but the signs are pointing to either a new director or having a director that has no time to spare for us.

Because the entire piece was exclusively about FFXVI. Of course, Yoshida only matters as the guy in charge of that in context of it.

I feel FFXVI got a lot of undeserved hate. I thought it was one of the best entries in the mainline series, gorgeous zones, fantastic music and some of the best written characters we've seen. And it felt very much like any other FF title.

A lot of people say the exact same thing, and one thing they never mention is how fun it was to play. They never talk about how engaging combat is or how much fun they had exploring gorgeous zones or even earning certain weapons or skills and feeling any kind of accomplishment for doing anything in game. This really makes it sound like FFXVI is a great movie, but maybe not a great game.

The fact still remains that DLC is being planned for XVI, and he will still be involved with it as producer for the next few years at least. One of these games isn't going to get his attention, and I doubt it's going to be the now 10 year old MMO that SE will allow him to spend his time with.
