Don't bother, each time Yoshida says anything negative about the playerbase (even if it's not even XIV related) the community uses it to push their current petty agendas against each other. We've seen it with the Ultimate controversies and the threads it generated. What he said doesn't really matter in the end.

I feel FFXVI got a lot of undeserved hate. I thought it was one of the best entries in the mainline series, gorgeous zones, fantastic music and some of the best written characters we've seen. And it felt very much like any other FF title.
