While I agree with the main thrust of a lot of posts here, I'll remind you that he's likely talking about Japanese feedback. The feedback posted in the English forums is what one might classify as "mean". Japanese feedback is infamous for, among other things, physically threatening, mailing swords to developers, and so on.

For those saying "see! NA feedback is too negative and meeeeeean", JP feedback is on a whole other level of crazy.

Understand, if your goal is just to bad mouth and troll, then you are not productive or constructive at all.

I am looking forward to eventually be playing the FFXVI myself, even if it is turn based then that is really nice as well, I remember it from eg. FFX.

If you see some bad stuff remember to put in the good stuff as well, it is a motivation to things, and also a hint of that maybe should take note of this or that thing.

Anything story and option wise in the game, that has NOTHING to do with the player to say is bad or good, that is the story, does it have LGBTinsertadditional100letters here... then that is fine as well.

See the good things first, praise them and mention the things that is not working so well, as for a finished game, there is not much you can do, other thanif there is some bugs and ports that needs to be addressed or whatever.

Now returning to FFXIV.... the game is really good, it still show quite a bit from the wound of Covid to be catching up on, and perhaps the current situation as well in Ukraine.

Point out the good things in all the content given... then ask into that maybe could do better on this or that front, so eg. the next Criterion Dungeons has a little bit more to it, some more fun things to do, some more rewards and the likes, some of the things in this one was rather nice... that had to find a secret path for an instance we need more of that... and perhaps making the additional paths to walk a going further away from the path of origin so you feel even more than you are taking a shortcut.

And I could mention more things to it all, Don't be afraid to challenge people some more in those 24 man raids... some shock treatment we got from Ridorana Lighthouse... or the Orbonne Monastary could never really hurt, players are not bad, and even so some may need some more time to learn and do things, we players can help those people and carry them some... and make them better on their own.

I don't see why everyone need to be so negative, see the good stuff first of all and the idea of what was put into thought.... praise that... and then add the but's and suggest on top of thar praise if anything.

Critics is not worth anything if you do not add anything constructive at all.

Sugarcoating feedback by stroking the devs' ego before giving criticism is not something that should be considered anywhere near necessary for feedback to be valid or constructive. This is a ridiculous mindset. Including positivity is not what makes or breaks feedback when it comes to being constructive.

Trolls are a scourge on Humanity that the internet has, unfortunately, unleashed. It's that negative/dark side that one must accept with freedom, but it makes it no less onerous for the necessity.

That first comment isnt even a troll post, you made a mess of your reputation and players are apprehensive on buying the next title. Its karma man hes just telling you to straighten out your problems and do better. I'd wager 500 dollars players want a good game and good content there's no malice there.

Except the whole thing wasn't about HIM specifically or even his reputation, it was about people reacting to the game before its even released and good ol' "NOT MY FINAL FANTASY NOT TURN BASED" hatred, and blaming him for the fact that 7th consecutive mainline FF game is not like their childhood darlings. Regardless of what you think of FFXVI's quality, pre-release negative pushback purely based on the fact that gameplay trailers show that final fantasy mainline title, for 15th time, tries to shake up the formula should be seen as stupid.

Nothing wrong with saying it gets tiresome. Thick skin or thin, I think most of us would agree that trolling gets tiresome.

I doubt he's getting upset at comments directed only at him. But he is a boss looking out for his workers doing their best at their jobs who are also getting targeted by some of the comments.
