I posted earlier in this thread about the latency issue I was experiencing and just wanted to make it known that I'm still having to deal with it. Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 stopped working and I'm very much not liking the idea of paying for a VPN to compensate for an issue on the providers behalf.
When it's prime time hours to play (the time that me and my peeps are able to game) it's simply miserable more often than naught. PVP is a nope (bind abilities to target macros and pray you hit things), dungeons is a maybe at best and you can forget difficult content. I thought the patch drop would be a line in the sand, but I guess not...just some half response to an issue plaguing a large swath of their American player base.
I guess now I'm crossing my fingers that something happens at Fan Fest.
Huge shout-out to all you people out there still submitting tickets, creating posts, sharing on social media and generally beating the drum. I love this game, but man oh man is this a disappointing situation.
The fact that this same situation has happened numerous times in the past, only to be wrapped-up in band-aid solutions, tells me all I need to know about the culprit(s) involved. It's reached a boiling point, and hopefully after this time with all of the angry consumers lodging complaints en masse, this will incentivize SQE/NTT/AT&T/etc. into actually fixing the issues that have been present for years. This is disgusting. I actually just made a forum account to get my frustration out after following this thread for weeks.
If adding another "traffic" center "would" elevate this, (likely take more time than what time has passed), I'd give them that time if they stated they were going to do it. Tell me six months, I unsubscribe and come back accordingly. I agree on, "their," silence. Pretty sure I'm done but, I am curious to see if the maintenance fixes the audio issue I am also experiencing. If that fails I'm out Tuesday afternoon. If it works, I'll wait the week to see if they step up or remain hidden behind, "their curtain."

if some of you guys in this thread are going to fanfest I would bring this up to there Q&A see what they say because we can't stay like this for long I know there doing maintenance in a couple of days but I'm don't think that will fix the packet loss we have been having.
What's sad is the community would feel a lot more patience with this whole thing if we had any real communication.
"Our ISP is the issue", "they're doing xyz to alleviate the congestion", "we're doing xyz to alleviate the congestion", "here's an ETA", at least SOMETHING.
"Contact YOUR ISP" and then silence is a really bad look on SE.
I had just renewed my subscription when this whole thing started, I'll have to wait it out and then if we don't get any communication or a solution there's no point in getting another one.
Yeaaaah I just went ahead and cancelled my subscription.
Yes. For goodness' sake, throw us a bone here. The silence is deafening. What's sad is the community would feel a lot more patience with this whole thing if we had any real communication.

Here's where I'm at right now (almost 3pm EST):
That's a little better than it usually is at this time, so I'm interested to see what prime time tonight looks like. So we are over 3 weeks since all of this start for the most recent occurrence (we all know its not the first time) and there has still been near radio silence from SE on the topic.
The ignore and maybe it will go away approach doesn't seem to be working this time. We are pushing 100 pages on this thread alone, countless tweets, reddit threads, etc. You cant continue to ignore such a large portion of your player base and not expect us to just accept it is what it is.
There has to be some type of communication that can be provided without breaking your NDA with NTT if that is what is holding you back from addressing the issues. Communication will go a long way as others have said, and telling us to take it up with our ISP, use a VPN, or change ISP isn't a reasonable alternative either.
If anyone thinks this will not have an impact on the looming launch of FFXVI, you would be naïve. I for one have already canceled my pre order and FFXIV sub. Why give anything else to a company that doesn't value my time or money. If that can't be reciprocated, I have no qualm with taking it else where.
