Frankly... I ain't contributed much to this.

But from my knowledge, ppl are split into 2 Camps.

You have the camp that wants a more Dainty race similar to Miqo'te

And the camp that wants a larger more Femroe-esque physique.

Frankly, I'm of the latter, whilst I'm all for Sexual Dimorphism. We don't want another case of Au-Ra.

Were the devs to go with the option to basically just make a big burly Miqo'te... I think honestly it would just be an absolute waste of resources; what's the point? You're just making a Taller Miqo'te?

For the Males to be Bestial and the females to be more humanoid without a snout; Honestly at that point, it wouldn't be a Hrothgar.

Hrothgar are based off of the Ronso. And both male and Female Ronso are Bestial. Unlike Male Viera; which never had any ingame mentions or pretense; they were only ever mentioned in the FF12 Ultimania. That's it. And it's only mention is in reference to them living apart from Female Viera; it boils down to 'They Exist; but good luck seeing one'. The FFXIV design is completely original and only based on one bit of concept art from HW. And even then. That 'Male Viera' had far more bulk to them than what we got.

We KNOW what Female Ronso look like, We know that Hrothgar are inherently based upon Ronso.

Whilst Female Hrothgar are generally protected. It is unwise to take a 'Protected' Archetype and automatically assume them to be weak and dainty. The Hrothgar are QUEENS, not Princesses.

Whilst Beast-Like designs for female characters are generally not well received... What's to stop SE from trying to break the mold?
