What I find Crazy about that Chart, is how many Vulpera Players there are.
The Numbers for Tauren & Worgan also Proves people like Beast Races. Even the smaller numbers of Pandaren still proves there is a Fanbase/Playerbase for this "Unattractive" option.
Its small by Comparison to the others...but those are still good Numbers. Dont sleep on them.

The devs do not care how popular hrothgals are going to be. If popularity were the only factor they wouldn't have added Hrothgar in the first place. Beast-like and other "not pretty" races are almost always less popular, but they are still a wise business decision because they bring in players who would otherwise not play the game at all.

To put it another way, in World of Warcraft the most popular races by far are Humans, Blood Elves, and Night Elves (the "pretty" races) and it's not even close.



However, the game also gives players the choice of being werewolves, minotaurs, zombies, foxes, goblins, trolls and other "ugly" races. If all those other races were deleted tomorrow but everyone was given a free character change to a Human, Blood Elf, or Night Elf, how many do you think would take it? Some probably would, but I'd wager many would just quit the game. I certainly would have back when I was playing, and that's the money you're leaving on the table by only focusing on conventionally attractive popular races.

Can we stop treating YoshiPs word like gospel? First and foremost his public appearances are PR and nothing else. Worgen and Goblin got a full on remodel and in shadowlands and dragonflight all the races including the least played ones got multitudes of new character creation options. Meanwhile we still cant have hats on hrothgar and devs thought earless hair would be something appropriate to release. Its crystal clear that hrothgar are completly worthless to the devs and they dont give a single fuck about the playerbase of hroths.

Just skimmed a tiny bit of... whatever this is. I don't think the issue will be furries or w.e it will come down to bodytype and limitations. That will make or break femhroth.

But, yes what types of limitations will be a big deal, the bodytype as much as I harp on my Preference, is not THAT big a deal...although I hope we dont get another Au Ra Height Difference. But really, the face: for me at least, will be the biggest Deal. Thats my Make-Or-Break

We'd be waiting whole Expansions for ANYTHING. Since release we've gotten Several Hairs, and a handful of wearable Headgear.
Its not much to ride home about, but if they truly didnt care, they wouldn't have given Hrothgar ANY attention, AT-ALL. Not even fix the Missing Ears.

Exactly. Individually their numbers may seem low but put them all together and that's a massive amount of people. That is the audience (and $$$) you're missing out on by only pandering to the "pretty race" crowd.

Wish I could have it my way, but it's not realistic without proper investment, and I'm quite pessimistic about that.

Fortunately your pessimism is irrelevant since we have direct quotes to the contrary from the person in complete control of the game.

May sound nitpicky but another factor is that, unlike XIV, there are certain classes unavailable to some races. Demon Hunter, for example, it's a class exclusive to Night/Blood elves (for lore reasons), the 2 most popular races. It'd be like saying you have to play a Miqo'te to be a WHM - many people already play Miqo'te, but those that don't would be forced to if they want to play a WHM, artificially inflating the race's popularity. That is to say, that even when most of the furry races in WoW aren't nearly as popular as humans and elves, there'd potentially be a lot more of them if they lifted their class/race restrictions.

I, for one, always play the big/monster races and honestly wouldn't have even looked at XIV if they didn't have Roegadyn (and now Hroth). I have zero interest in being small and cutesy, or a run of the mill twink human.
