VIERA AND HROTHGAR COMPLAINT MEGATHREAD

This sort of statement feels like deliberate "here's a worst-case imagined scenario, now let me complain as if that's what SE is doing".

I see no reason at all for them to suddenly stop the ongoing pattern of giving each batch of hairstyles first to Viera and then later to Hrothgar.

Complain about it if and when they do it, but it's not something that should be assumed will happen.

It actually should be assumed because in 5.0 hrothgar had no ability to use their own racial hair (STILL DONT!) without paying for Fantasia, whereas viera could just use the aesthetician, and in 6.0 viera got new hair and hrothgar got told to go screw for another 4 months and those 4 months were not worth dev teams effort, as was made abundantly clear by 2B Xenomorph hroth and no ears, a trait they would never senselessly whack off miqote or viera heads.
Theres no reason to have faith after the pretty popular girls get everything, whilst hrothgar are 8 months behind, that they'll continue to pretend to give a fart about their red-headed stepchild race.

I do not think the devs would unlock Hrothgar's hair in the next patch either. Maybe at 7.0.
But there is no reason to have faith in or trust a team who has not earned my trust. I keep my opinion of them to myself. I choose to wait and see what 7.0 has in store for us.

I doubt they'd stop progress on Hroths just because Viera are done, specially when female Hroths are still to be added. I don't have much trust on the devs' habit of cutting corners, specially after the ear incident, but I don't think they'd be that blatantly negligent either.

They will 'finish' hrothgar eventually (in terms of these hairs), if they ever catch up to viera. Then, presumably, they will release copy paste hairstyles with everyone else. That's probably the best hroths can hope for.

it is so, SO infuriating completing some kind of quest from one of our dear friends and allies and then getting crap we cant use.
Like its wildly out of character for Ameliance to give us a hat that, IN SPITE of her staff taking our characters measurements to ensure a perfect fit, doesnt exist on our characters.
The issue of course isnt them remaking hats really. The need to make behatted models for unique h/v racial hair which theyve never deigned to do.

Because unfortunately devs have made them the reason why Hrothgar doesn't get as much. The devs could have by now caught Hrothgar up to Viera and then start giving out the same hair at the same time, but they've not done so. Viera has gotten first dibs on a lot of stuff, and it makes Hrothgar feel like the unloved child.

Even more so infuriating, the fact they WANTED to make Hrothgar, but over time it does feel like Hrothgar are an After-thought.
I WANT to be Generous and Continue to be hopeful for the Future of this Race, but more and more Im being skeptic and losing Faith. Our race is constantly behind, and even newer gear isnt made to include the Hrothgar.
It begs the question if they were lying about their desire to create this race in the 1st place with how much it gets left out of. Not being a Doomer, but its making me call the Female Hrothgar into question.

But, Ill try to desperately cling to my hope that their Reveal is at least Good
And my hope that maybe they find some sort of fix or an adequate Compromise....like a good handful of unique Lv1 gear for the Hrothgar to make up for the lack of helmets and hats.

And this is why i laugh at all the Hrothgar players that still come rushing in to defend the game at every step here in the forums. The race gets treated like a joke and yet some people here still think the people at square enix are their friends that need to be defended.

I honestly burst out laughing every time someone defends SE in any form. They ain't your friends! They will cut all corners and cross all of their supposed friends if it meant gaining more money.
That is why I expect nothing from them. They have not said that female Hrothgar are coming in 7.0 so I am not expecting it, I can still be upset for being left to wait for 5+ years for them, but it doesn't mean I expect them to be added in 7.0. If they show us only 2 hairstyles in a patch I will be of the opinion that those are all that we will get. No reason to belive in something that was never said out loud. Hats would be amazing, but it was never said it will happen, so don't expect it either.
Again, expect a 0 and be pleasantly surprised if it is a 1.

Honestly, I stick to my thought that the whole thing about Hrothgar being made first and Viera added due to popular demand was complete bs and it was actually the opposite: female Viera were the ones to be added and Hroths meant to be the male Viera replacement cuz they didn't want bunny boys for whatever reason, but the genderlock backlash was such that they ended up making the other genders for both races anyway ...and now there's a lowkey resentment about it cuz it's 'extra work' they didn't consider before.
