Gotta be fair and say this was never a problem exclusive to Viera. Plenty of bangless hairstyles give every race 5head, lmao. Highlanders not having eyebrows doesn't do them any favours.

Just looks worse on viera really. Viera typically look better with bangs, in my opinion.

When YoshiP issued the apology to Hrothgar players during the great ear-tastrophy of 2022 he explained that the problem would be corrected but that it would mean slower updates for Hrothgar. That's pretty much why I expect their updates to consistently remain 2 patches behind Viera. That said, I expect both to get brand new hairstyles upon release from now on, which is the real win for a lot of folks. This one from the next deep dungeon will not look good on Viera because it's already giving 5head on this Highlander, but I think it'll be pretty decent on Hrothgar as a short style.

One has to wonder if 5head is a desirable trait in Japan with how some hairstyles look on all races.
I have never seen anyone use the long hair (worn by Artoirel de Fortemps for example) on male Viera, that's for sure.

This hairstyle is so bad on male and female Viera that it basically doesn't exist to me, this one and the 2b one but for different reasons.

It's like they referenced the Lalafell version to determine how high up the hairline should be for Viera.

I don't think it looks any better on other races. I vomit in my mouth every time I see anybody using this hairstyle. It's so hideous.
