But you'd have to define "difficulty". Because your suggestions sounds exactly like what Warframe does in that the enemies don't get any smarter. They just have their damage and HP values inflated.I have an idea of a content that does not have an upper difficulty limit. Just have a content, it can be a dungeon or a raid, and you can set the difficulty from 1 to 100 or 1000 or 10000 or whatever. There's no upper limit. The devs don't have to test it because it's not meant to be beatable on release. Maybe players can beat maximum difficulty level 5 or 6 on release.
On the next even patch when the max ilevel goes up, players can start beating difficulty level 7 and 8. Then on the next even patch players can beat difficulty level 9 and 10. Beyond level 10 is not beatable until the next expansion. There is no level sync. When the next expansion is released, players can beat difficulty level 15 or 16.
Wish they could do more to revamp the older content besides just adding duty support to all msq dungeons. Would like to see a complete revamp of open world leveling and questing experience. But the fact that theyre even going back and touching up older content is still commendable. Especially considering other MMOs that barely do anything about the new player experience. So just to be curious I wanted to compare SB to EW from release to the propspective release cycles. (This is in no particular order, feel free to correct me or tell me I forgot something, etc)

Just a quick synthesis of this tells me that SE is subtly trying to revamp older content/provide possibly backlogged updates maybe ?
If so, it's not a bad thing either. Revamping older content/updating systems is important.
WoW tried with Exiles Reach which imo is fine for it but theyre still doing the whole "drop you into BfA and force you to do new expansion once you hit the level requirement" which completely confuses a new player in trying to understand the game, the world and plot.
ESO is slightly better about it since each zone is somewhat self-contained but it still falls into the trap into putting you in the middle of whatever new content is at the time without much explanation.
I never played XI and when XII came out everyone kept saying it was like an MMO. And I didn't understand because it wasn't like EQ, EQII, SWG, CoX, DaoC, WoW, or any other of the MMOs I've played over the years.
Then I played XIV and I got it because this isn't an MMO that follows the same format as others out there but I could see where SE's version of an MMO got applied to XII.
its because of FFXII's combat system replicating some MMO features such as enemies in the open-world (which was new for the series at the time), world divided by zones, as well as tab-targeting and auto-attacks. In essence it's kinda like FFXI's combat since it also uses a turn-based menu system for selecting magic, items and special abilities while you're able to move freely, but less clunky.I never played XI and when XII came out everyone kept saying it was like an MMO. it's okay , my advice is just go and try and let them know your returning, they don't mind giving advice
I was Soo scared healing as a WHM but I said fuck it lol and yeah, people died but I let them know, I also also asked alot of questions, as my teacher told me, "There is no such thing as a stupid question."
Afflatus Solace is your best friend because Cureskin, I'm in it more than Afflatus Misery, and that's only good if your with the party in the front lines and there is a lot of status effects that is landing on you and the party.
If your /SCH, use Aurastorm , if gives your a boost to your healing.
duh I'm sorry you already know how to play WHM
well I hope this helps someone, there advice how to macro, Fast Cast sets, TP, equipment sets, because gearswapping during battle is Mandatory

Amended to exclude content with little staying power for the average player and added a few notes here and there. Italicized dead on arrival content. So just to be curious I wanted to compare SB to EW from release to the propspective release cycles. SB 4.0 - 4.36:

- 2 tier alliance raid
- 6 EX trials

- Squadron System updated (now scrapped for Duty Support ?)
EW 6.0 - 6.38:

I like what they did to some of the ARR dungeons especially say Copperbell Mines because that dungeon really needed being updated into something more akin to content released now. The point is they seem adamant that they want people to start from the beginning and when content back there is very old and a product of its time it does need a fair amount of resources to keep it up to current. Like if my friend played ARR now to what I played back in 2014 our experiences would be vastly different and to be honest moving trials to solo duties and trimming prae and revamping dungeons, shortening the ARR quest or steps within a quest, flying and duty support are all really good changes that allow people to break through that initial barrier that is ARR. But I agree they now need to do a 'overworld reborn' sort of thing and revamp how overworld exploration and combat work and maybe revamp the FATE system too.Wish they could do more to revamp the older content besides just adding duty support to all msq dungeons. Would like to see a complete revamp of open world leveling and questing experience. But the fact that theyre even going back and touching up older content is still commendable. I feel like at this point I want 7.0 to displease you just so we don't have to hear from you and the ilk. Im not saying this game is perfect and I have many issues with it but jesus lord give it a rest with the constant moaning. I used to agree with some of your points but now its borderline nit picky and 'personal preference' into 'my way or the highway'. Also amending content you don't deem has staying power we have agreed is subjective to the individual, just cause not all appeals to you doesn't mean it doesn't to someone else.
You are absolutely right about the relics, part of the reason Eureka and Bozja are still populated is that they are tied to augmenting job artifact sets, some unique glams and relics.Fair point. Like I said, I do think its right to question the amount and type of content we get. I would have loved a Bozja-like zone, as that was one of my favourite things EW added. Plus I do think that a better alternative could have been found then just handing in Tombstones for Relics. I just find the 'Its like maintenance mode' a little disingenuous myself, especially when such posts often ignore or belittle content such as IS/variant dungeons. There is a difference between meritocracy, and “the sky is falling”.
Lacking this kind of content to tie to those rewards will make Endwalker's legacy feel like... Well I don't know what's in store for 6.4 or 6.5, but I haven't seen anything that players in the future, main or fresh alts or new players, will want to revisit, with the exception of Eureka Orthos.
But you are also right that the world is not ending. The game is still plenty of fun for people that discovered the game after it rode the popularity of Shadowbringers, and there are the usual perma-AFK who do the social thing. It was always said about WoW that you cna only judge how good an expansion was by the sale metrics of the next one. I think more people will be willing to give 7.0 the benefit of doubt, and be excited that it will start a new chapter in the story. We'll see how 6.5 sets things up, I guess.
Cherry picking a post someone else made to prove your point instead of theirs, and give it more visibility because of being closer to the end of the thread and that absurd signature of yours besides, was really a low blow. Even for you.
Cite it in its entirety if you feel that's relevant and then argue in your own comment.
